Dear People's Commissar, I am pleased to confirm that the Kingdom of Grolsch has welcomed the peace talks to be held on Grolschian soil. It is my department's opinion that we will be able to hold serious discussions very shortly, although we appreciate- and understand you likewise appreciate- the security issues that can delay these. We thoroughly understand any lapse between discussions because of this. Our delegation will be happy to meet with both yourself and Mr. Bryan at the summit. I am confident we can come to a lasting agreement which will only lead to great things for all concerned. Kind regards,

Open Communique from the Desk of the People's Commissar Dear Iago Penderyn, There appears to have been some problems with the satellites relaying information across the region, so we were never able to reply. Our scientists have attributed this to solar activity and they have asked us to forward that information to your government in the hopes that their hypothesis can be validated. Mr. Bryan should be ready to go to the summit whenever our governments come to an agreement; we suggest to meet in three days, which would be Wednesday, for the summit, but are willing to compromise on a later date. The Workers' National Council is convening tomorrow for a special session and I must sit in on it. I hope that can be understood. We are pleased to have this dialogue continue between our governments, despite our disdain for your liberal system. Sincerely, People's Commissar Crumrine

Dear People's Commissar, I am sorry for the delay in our reply. Our scientists quite agree with yours that solar activity is to blame for the disruption to services. Perhaps, after the finalisation of the agreements, we can together work on a new satellite communication programme to cement our new relationship, as well as improve telecommunications region-wide? We are available to meet at any time before Wednesday next week, due to a formal meeting with His Majesty the King of the Netherlands taking place, which requires our total focus. I hope this is acceptable. Despite our obvious differences, I am sure we can look forward to a lasting, prosperous accord. Kind regards,

Open Communique from the Desk of the People's Commissar Dear Iago Penderyn, The satellite communication program sounds like a fine place to cement the relationship our two countries have. As our proposed Wednesdays have passed -- we just received your communication -- tell us when we can convene to officially terminate this conflict and I will convey that date to the newly appointed Minister of Peace. I will be resigning soon and will not be able to attend any more meetings. We hope this sits well with you. Sincerely, People's Commissar Jerri Crumrine and Minister of Peace Jack Chancy
