Hello there, everyone.
This is a quick tutorial to help you understand what the Diplomacy sub-board is, and how it works.
1.Well, what is it?
This board is for the diplomatic exchanges between nations, trading, the establishment of embassies, and the suchlike. Some of the threads previously found in the general "Role-Play" section will be moved here, since this is a more appropriate place.
2.Should I post in-character?
While most nations seem to have a basic grasp of this in the RP section, it is the appropriate thing to do here. When I say "in-character," I mean posting something official-sounding and intelligible as such. Examples of this include anything I post as Iago Penderyn (my Minister of Foreign Affairs). In fact, your own Ministry of Foreign Affairs (or the equivalent) will be the most important of your governmental bodies here. Why don't you try and post as your own minister? It helps make everything more realistic and enjoyable for everyone, but don't feel that you have to.
3.Can I post anything I like here?
No, you can't. Certain aspects of role-play are appropriate here, others are not. For instance, you might like to open an embassy programme, declare war formally, or invite nations to an official event in this section. You would not go through the process of war (the fighting, etc), post a CoL role-play, or post news articles here.
4.I'm not sure where my thread belongs!
Don't worry! Tell me about your thread (Private Message) and I'll get back to you on where it belongs.
If you have any other questions you feel I haven't covered, please ask!
