Hello fellow members of the Social Liberal Union! I would first like to give my thanks to Avaerilon for nominating me as Speaker of the Union.
Now, on to the business at hand: why should you elect me as Speaker of the Union? Well... (for the tl;dr version of this, scroll down to the horizontal line)
1. I joined the Social Liberal Union back in July, I believe. Since then, I have become one of the most active members of the region. My post count can attest to that, as well as the numerous regional activities that I engage in to help promote the region.
2. I am actively involved in the Ministry of Immigration and the Ministry of Domestic Affairs, one as a recruiter and the other as the deputy minister. I quickly entered into the Ministry of Domestic Affairs and stayed there, picking up any slack that I could and I was given an empty slot by Cemaes in the recruitment rota and started recruiting with gusto, becoming the second best recruiter in the region as per his end-of-term report on the regional message board, Grolsch was first.
2. I have written - and helped write - a few acts that have been passed, such as the Modified Embassy Policy Act, which is more thorough than the old Embassy Policy Act, the Social Liberal Union Prevention of Annoying Messages Act, the Forum Language and Vulgarity Act and the Legislative Error Correction Act. I am involved in the legislative process of the region and know what needs to be done as Speaker of the Union.
*Short and sweet: I am incredibly active, I've given up a large portion of my time to the region already, I am ready and willing to give as much more as I need to to help the region, and I know the legislation.
I've stated why you should elect me as Speaker of the Union, but what will I do for the region? Well...(for the tl;dr version of this, scroll down to the horizontal line)
1. The government itself could use a pan-ministry employment push. The Speaker of the Union can spearhead such a push and get more people involved in the running of the region, which would be a big step in the right direction.
2. I will also push for greater cooperation in the Union of Democratic Leftist Regions as I believe that it is a fundamentally good organization organized around fundamentally good ideas, most particularly socialism, social-liberalism, and democracy. I will make my voice heard in the inclusion of more democratic leftist and left-leaning regions into the UDLR as we must be able to join together with more friends against the threat of raiders, but I must say that I would crusade against the use of the Union in any offensive capacity.
3. I will use every power granted to me by the Constitution in an honest way (Yes I realize that politicians often say things like this, but I am a very honest person, not to say that Michutopia isn't because I believe that he is, but as a matter of fact. Millyland can attest to that. ;)) to advance the goal outlined in the founding statement of the SLU.
*I will push for full employment of the government, push for greater cooperation within the UDLR and its expansion, and fulfill my duties, both expected and legislated.
Finally, I would like to give a few personal facts about myself:
If anyone has anything else they would like to ask me, I will gladly accept your questions and respond as promptly as I can. Thank you and, again, good luck to other candidates! :)

Finally, I would like to give a few personal facts about myself:
- I am an honest person, as I've already stated.
- I believe myself to be a modest person.
- I like to receive feedback from people; I view it as the ultimate indicator of ones performance. In that regard, I would like to set up a thread in the General Board, should I be elected, that would be solely for feedback from members of the SLU.
- I am going to have a nearly unlimited amount of free time this summer, as I shall be home from school, so you can expect me to be very active.
If anyone has anything else they would like to ask me, I will gladly accept your questions and respond as promptly as I can. Thank you and, again, good luck to other candidates! :)
