Fill out the information and your team will be added! Example : Michutopia Lions, Azerzia Snakes, etc After October 1st, the league will close and drafting will begin! There is no way to join the league after the season starts, sorry!

Football is quite possibly the easiest large team sport to understand in all of sports.
Theres two teams, and one has the ball. The team with the ball has to advance 10 yards down the field, and gets 4 tries, called downs, to get there. If they make 10 combined yards after 4 plays, then it gets reset, until they reach the end of the field and score, or the ball gets overturned due to an interception (catching the other teams ball), 4th down comes and goes without reaching 10 yards, or someone scores.
It's pretty basic, just look up football on wikipedia. I admit, I didn't get football for a long time, but now that I do, its easier than most other sports in the simplicity of it

The ball can also be overturned if someone drops the ball (a fumble) or they fail to make it in 4 downs (turnover on downs). It is a bad idea to turn over, so most teams punt the ball on 4th down so the other team gets it, but further down field.
There's different ways to score. Touchdown is when, in regular play, they get into the end-zone (the area at the end of the field) either by throwing the ball to someone in it or running it in (worth 6 points). A field goal is when they kick the ball through the uprights (worth 3 points). Whenever a touchdown is scored, the team gets to try for extra points. Also, if the team has one of their players tackled in their endzone while they have the ball, the other team gets 2 points (a safety).
They can either kick the ball through the uprights like a field goal but from REALLY close (simply called an extra point, worth 1). They can also go for a 2-point conversion (worth 2 points) which means basically scoring another touchdown from VERY close. With both of those, they only have one shot for every touchdown scored.
At the start of a game, and whenever someone scores, their is a kickoff, where the scoring team or whichever team got picked at the start to do it, kicks the ball down the field and it is returned. If the ball goes into the endzone and isn't returned, its a touchback and the returning team starts at the 20 yd line

I obviously should have phrased that better.
I understand the mechanics of football. What I do not understand are the players (i.e. who is better than whom) and some of the stranger positions.

There are a few confusing position names, but if you can't recognize them simply google them. You usually have your recievers, your linemen, your quarterback, and on the defence a mix of spies, rushers... i'm not one for the position names either, but I still like football XD

Could you publish the in-season and play-off results on the RMB and on here so we have an open record for the future?

Blinkin' 'eck as like (as they'd say in Northern England!). That's unbelievable! Almost as much so as the return of Ainland (although not quite!).
If you could post them on here and on the RMB for the record that would be grand. Hopefully get more involved next time.
