:o well at least sweden have 9 different political parties. Of course four of them grouped in to an alliance and three others try to work togheter because a single party cant rule the riksdag. And a party needs 4 percent to get in the riksdag (parliament). the 9 political parties in sweden.

Now that's a free party system. I should move to Sweden I have family there and I only hear good things >.< unlike my home country who much of the world hate due to its completely incompetent government to realize 2 trillion a year is going to crash the world economy.

I feel most countries governments are too old fashioned to be useful. The US is angry at everyone, Europe prefers to ignore the atrocities it committed in forign lands that made it rich, currently, I would say china and japan, if working together, could achieve incredible things. But chinas a bit right wing.

I wouldn't have imagined Barack would be there on the scale, myself. I think the views of whoever composed the graph are probably biased, although there are some good reasons not to like Obama (i.e. Monstanto; I can't abide agro-chemical giants). This is ours, but I need to raise 2 issues with it. Firstly, the Lib Dems are probably on the centre of economics in reality; they are basing this off Nick Clegg's own views, I would imagine. Same goes for its social score. Mind you, if it was just grassroots, it would all be like the majority of people in the region. Second, the Green Party are further left in reality, although not quite as far-left as their leader, Caroline Lucas, who writes for "The Morning Star," which was at one point funded by... the KGB! Most parties are sadly authoritarian, but people are so easily manipulated in this country... bah!

Nah the opposition parties (those who are in the green square) don't have a unified politic and the Swedish democrats (the party in the red square) just blame everything on the emigration from islamic country's. Oddly only the alliance (the parties in the purple square) have a real agenda. I mean those guys made that Sweden still have a economic growth after the worst economical collapse since the great depression.
I wonder is there any other Parliaments in the world who have a barrier of a certain percent to get in. Like here in Sweden.

:P This is where I stand on the political compass now. I should be just about the most left libertarian in the region. We've never had a multiparty system, by the way. Throughout American history, there really have only been two major parties that governed the US. There have also been numerous Red Scares (the Russian Revolution with the added hype from media really helped to start them). The Democrats have been so scared of losing any power by being in any way associated with leftist ideas, that they had to move right. It really is very irritating, though, that we now only have a choice between a Republican or a Republican-lite candidate for president.

Hmm, my political compass is the closest to Avaerilon. No surprises there ;D I'm still very far off, though.

I can't wait until all the old farts are gone and I can take their place. Too bad civilization as we know it will most likely be gone by the time I could xD

Good one ;D
As a non-American, all I can say is a Democrat running America is probably better than a Republican running it :P

Like Bill Maher putted it the Democrats are the new Republicans. And that those on the right are now in a mental hospital.
