Could someone mention one or two specific concrete examples for the impact of WA resolutions on 1) my civil rights, 2) my political freedoms and 3) my economy?

And can someone explain why, for example, is in the category of my nation "Left-wing Utopia" crossed out and next to it in blue letters only "Utopia" is written?

A. Let's look at the issue you just passed on allowing big-businesses to donate to campaigns
1. No significant civil rights impact, from what I saw.
2. Minor increase in political freedoms, which makes sense as it allows more people to donate. One could argue this point, but there you go
3. That increased your economic rating by a large portion, which makes sense since businesses now have a large role in government

My advice would be to answer the issue as you think you should, whatever the results may be. If it does not get the intended result, pick differently the next time the issue comes up

B. You are likely using liberal.nationstates.net rather than just www.nationstates.net. Both the Liberal and Conservative versions of nationstates are identical to the original, it just changes the WA nation category names (ie left wing utopia to utopia, civil rights lovefest to brave progressives, and so on)

No. Could you read my question again. I don't want to know the impact of the issues, because I want to know the impact of WA-Resolutions if i would become a WA-member. ;)

Canaan: Settings -> Theme
It doesn't impact the game, but it' gives you funny alternative government categories.
For instance, Left Wing Utopia conservative variant becomes Drugged Out Hippies.

And what's about the impact of the WA-Resolutions?

It depends on the resolution; in general, the WA is a slightly left-moderate body. It never goes in and forces right-wing ideals on you (since there are too many left-wingers part of the WA). You can go well beyond the WA on issues, and most WA proposals have little actual impact on your ratings

Indeed. You can lose the "Left-Wing Utopia" classification for a bit, but you can always gain it back by enacting socialist legislation.

1) Is it possible to create a society or rather an economy complete without money?

2) And how long will it take until you reach for example 250 million citizens? One million per day? 245 days?

What do you mean by 1) ? I have zero economy and my people are happy.
2) There is nothing you can do to speed up or slow down population I think.

With 1) I mean the abolition of all the money / currency and a society that realized: "From each according to his ability, to each according to his need." (Karl Marx)

And because of 2) I only want to know how long it will take until I reach for example 250 million citizens? Every day one million more or will that be faster at some point?

I think it will take about 2 months to reach 250m.

There are issues that kill economy that way, like the "take down capitalism once and for all" and put all business under government control, and my favourite "let's return to the trees". But you will always have the economic details like in your sig, you'll never have f.i a caveman society, or an economy solely based on barter trade.

Unfortunately you can't abolish the state (although I think that abolishing taxes has effectively done it for me) and create a moneyless society through the game, although you don't have to go by the game's stats completely. Actually, I think that I have finally reached communism using game terms (abolition of the state, no one has the power to subjugate the labor of others, etc.), so I won't be answering any more issues.

With the risk of going off topic: doesn't communism need a strong, omnipresent state instead of an abolished one? Plus, when you have 100% government spending on administration, you can't really say that you abolished the state.

No. That would be an authorian socialism. Communism is the free society after the state has died.

Okay. Than I will try to create a frightening economy with an 100 % public sector plus civil rights and political freedom at world benchmark. :)

@zmon: Well, technically that's the default for NS. If I don't have taxes (and contributions from businesses are non-existent), I can't have funding for state apparatuses to suppress the masses. Also, that would be (with me taking a compromise position) authoritarian socialism, otherwise I wouldn't be here. Communism involves the abolishment of the state and the creation of a classless society, which includes workers owning the means of production. We could take this to the Communism vs. Capitalism thread, though.

@canaan: That was what I aimed for, but my civil rights don't seem to want to tick upwards a ton.
