Cool idea; if we did have a definite date, we could have a year format like ----AA. "AA" is "after Ainland. BA before Ainland, etc. But I think the fluidity of not having a set time has its advantages as well. Let's see how other nations feel.

I quite like the idea of having a set period as mentioned above. I don't mind when it is but it can then help regions to focus their nation's Factbook entries around it.

I am neutral about the issue. Having a before and after Ainland, though amusing, would not work well. He was only around for a few months

if you read my factbook you will see what i mean, i think perhaps sticking with BC and AD would be a good idea. there will be pictures of my small air based military soon. happy to design airships and fighters for those who wish. my drawing is better than my paint program skill!

Well, we all seem to be modern and developed nations, so a post-20th century setting would be ideal. A century or two in the future, seeing as some legislation can be quite futuristic, might be appropriate. Who knows; we could be colonists from Earth setting up new places to live on an Earth-like planet! I don't see why the late 2200s are a bad time to live :D
