Nominations are scheduled to last for seven days, from 28 February 2020 until 6 March 2020. Any Member State may nominate themself (if eligible) or other Member States (subject to their acceptance) to run for this office.

Eligible states are those who meet the following criteria:
Duties of the Ministerial positions (Ministers and subordinate Deputy Ministers) are mainly outlined in Article 6 of the Constitution.
However, a summary of the role of each Minister may be found here:
Candidates may optionally pledge to conduct their campaigns according to the Code of Fair Campaign Practices, statutorily established by the Voting Reform and Fair Political Practices Act. The Code reads as follows:
There are basic principles of decency, honesty, and fair play which every candidate for public office in the Social Liberal Union has a moral obligation to observe and uphold in order that, after vigorously contested but fairly conducted campaigns, our Member States may exercise their constitutional right to a free and unfettered choice, and that their will may be fully and clearly expressed on the issues.
THEREFORE:
In compliance with provision 6 of the Code, candidates pledging to adhere to the Code MUST disclose all foreign positions publicly and under penalty of perjury within three days of pledging to follow the Code or by the end of nominations, whichever is earlier.
