The SLU has just been invited to the 3rd annual LeftExpo. Here is the telegram I received:
I think we should do this! What are your thoughts? I'd just like to run it by the administration before I make this thread public. :)
Comrades,
You are receiving this telegram to inform you that your region has been invited to participate in LeftExpo 2015! :) Sixteen regions from the NationStates Left are invited to participate in this festival that will showcase the variety of anarchist, communist, and socialist-aligned regions in the game. Those regions and their representatives receiving this telegram are:
The Internationale (Auhl, Teksi)
North Korea (The Defender Alliance, Comradeland)
Das Kommune (New Hetrikovia)
Democratic Socialist Assembly (Kiptoke-Ruselia, Communicar)
Union of Soviet Socialist Republics (Free Rojava, Moselle Est)
The International Communist Union (Worldwide Communist Union) (Vashtanaraada, Enrica)
The League of Reformed Socialist States (Hai Jin Lao, The Don River)
Labour and Socialist International (LSI) (Nouvelle Tealand, Adamae)
Hippy Haven (Forever Fields, NovaTora)
Federation of Anarchist Communes (Folkvangr Anarchists, Kassimo)
Social Liberal Union (Anaaxes, Risu)
Juche Union (The Union of Socialist Republics of Russia, Communist Skyrim)
The Communist Beach (Daukulis Country)
Conf of Traditional Socialist Nations (Democratic Peoples republic of siberia, The High Prison)
USSR (RedCommunist, Korskha)
The Communist Party of NationStates (Napantis, United Marxist Nations)
Every region is invited to create a regional presentation to showcase what makes them unique.
LeftExpo is planned to take place June 29 to July 3.
As in previous LeftExpos, to guide your regional presentations, think about and answer the following questions as your regions:
How many nations are in your region?
What interregional affiliations (Antifa, important embassies or allies) does your region have?
What relevant tags does your region have?
What is your region's military policy?
What is a unique feature or unique characteristic of your region?
What are the plans for your region's future?
What is a brief description of your region?
In previous LeftExpos, regions have answered these questions one after another. This can continue, or someone in your region can write up a narrative that answers all of the questions naturally through prose. It's up to you and what fits your region best!
You can look to previous LeftExpos for insight (2012: viewtopic.php?f=12&t=192291; 2013: viewtopic.php?f=12&t=270034)
New to this year's LeftExpo is presentations/"lectures" given by comrades on a variety of topics. So far we have comrades who have volunteered to present on a couple different areas of Soviet music. If anyone receiving this message would like to give a presentation on a topic relevant to leftists (related to NationStates or real life) please let me know! The invitation to present is open to all comrades from invited regions.
Finally, if you have a high-quality version of your region's flag that you could send me, that would be greatly appreciated. :)
In solidarity comrades,
Misley
