The region The International Kingdom has requested an embassy with the SLU. The Administration, with the Minister responsible for foreign relations in absentia, has decided to consult the Open Parliament on whether the request should be accepted. The region seems to be largely compliant with the embassy requirements outlined in the SLU Constitution. The WA Delegate has compiled a summary of the requirements as they relate to The International Kingdom, provided below:
The vote on the matter will last for one week.
Clause 1. Have a democratic admission requirement for states or the overwhelming majority of states must be democratic. (Well I'm not sure if that's an overwhelming majority)
Clause 2. The region itself must be democratically structured. (Yes, they have a constitution with elections)
Clause 3. Have a preference for socialist or social liberal economic systems, although either system need not be a majority within said region. (Not explicitly clear)
Clause 4. Not have an embassy with any enemy of the SLU, with enemies determined by the Cabinet. (Satisfied)
Clause 5. Not support fascism or slavery. (Satisfied)
Clause 6. Have either the Founder or the World Assembly Delegate of the region in question must have been active within the last week. At least twenty separate member nations must have been active for in the previous two weeks. (Satisfied- Active Delegate and about 180 nations (Similar to us!))
Clause 7. Not have sent out embassy requests to a number of other region within the past two weeks, or has more than ten embassies, all sent within the past month; however, upon popular support and if the region meets the other requirements for an embassy, this requirement can be voided. (They have only sent out five)
Clause 8. Have a quarter of its members that are members of the World Assembly or have taken an active stance against the World Assembly. (Yes, their constitution encourages them to join the WA I think)
