Member nations of the Social Liberal Union,
First, I would like to thank Anaaxes for the nomination. Win or lose, I can rest assured that I must be doing something right to earn such a nomination.
Second, a little history. A friend showed me this region about a year ago at this point, after I expressed my interest in Nationstates and my dismay at being able to find a suitable region to make my home in. My first encounter with the Ministry of Immigration was a warning, actually. A warning some of you know well, and others not so much. If I recall correctly, my political freedoms were low and the Minister at the time, whose identity I cannot recall, sent me the warning, notifying me of the regions Fair but Firm policy.
Should I be elected into this position, there will be the rather obvious upholding of this policy. It continues to hold up and perform its function since its inception, and I see no reason why it should be modified at this point. There are, however, a few hiccups I would wish to address, including the neglected List of Nations and Weekly Ministerial Report.
The region has been on an upswing recently, and I will do my best to work with the other ministries and insure this upswing continues into a long term trend, to hopefully launch the region into its own Golden Age.
