The President and Secretary Pearson mingle around the bar, and have a quick conversation over some drinks, before separating once again.
The President walks back to the Drawing Room to find the King. "I would like to personally thank you for inviting Ms. Pearson and I. We had a magnificent view of your citadel from the plane ride on our way here. The architecture and environment around here is truly stunning."

"Hello Diego. We are currently the Chief CUS Officer and Head of Defense for the SLU so we are planning to revamp the entire system of security in the region. We want the SLU to be the most secure region in NS. So those are our plans for the SLU but what particularly about Goncar would you like to know?"

"Please pardon me for interjecting, President Walls, but I have a question about your nation's history. What is the history behind the Goncaran flag?"

"The Goncaran flag was created by none other than our wonderful host in King Aubrey. The red and white are national colors, the cross is a symbol of the National religion and the alligator is the national animal. The 26 stars symbol the 26 provinces of Goncar. It's quite perfect for us."

The President talks with the King for about 15 minutes, and then excuses himself to reunite with Ms. Pearson.
They both approach Mr. Dyson.
Ms. Pearson asks, "Would you be interested in having an embassy with Anaaxes in our capital city of Serenno, and possibly vice versa?"
"We've been allies for such a long time, it only seems appropriate. Most notably, your nation helped Anaaxes during both of the infamous zombie crises," the President adds.

" I can handle that for you as that is my ministry." replies Minister Young.
"We have relations with Grolsch, NAR and Avaerilon and would love to add you to that list. In fact if any wish to establish diplomacy with us, I ask to help us to please send us a telegram."

Dyson turned to face both the Anaaxi representatives.
"Without a doubt. My government has long had the intent of establishing an embassy with yours, and I was actually meaning to bring that up to you some time tonight. Your nation has been one of our strongest allies for nearly our entire history. It would be an offense to good diplomacy and friendship for us not to build embassies in each other's capitals. The Anaaxi people will always be welcomed within Scientia."

"And to Aubrey's wine!"
With that, both parties, Scientian and Anaaxi, downed their glasses.
"Hmm," Dyson noted. "It appears old Dragonheart has retired to his chambers for now. I'm sure he'll be back in time for dinner."

Meanwhile, HM Crown Princess Ārohi was preparing herself in ornately-carved wooden chamber upstairs. His Most Royal Majesty had been exceptionally thoughtful in offering her a place to stay in and had chosen out a small, cosy room overlooking the gardens. Ārohi sat at her dressing table and clipped a pair of dazzling diamond earrings on and turned to look out the window. She was dressed in a resplendent evening gown in a glorious red. There was a knock and a servant walked in, "They're calling Your Majesty down, ma'am". Ārohi turned and nodded at him and he walked off. He was very tall and had pointy ears, most unusual. Maybe he was one of these 'Elbh' people she had heard of. She got up and with a last look in the mirror, picked up the small silver box and silk scarf that had been lying on her bed and left the room.

”Late? Late? Surely not! Trust me, we will be there well in time for the dancing. Fashionably late, at most.” President Frederic Oestrond turned to his aide, sitting to his side. ”See? We are here already!”
The evening light lent the sky a tint of magenta as the presidential motrcade turned onto the grounds. It didn't quite fit into the surroundings; where the presidential car was the epitome of unpersonal functionality, the mansion that it neared was a tasteful example of architectural finesse, its French windows already radiating an aurulent warmth.
As the president left the car, he seemed out of place, too. While he had happily donned white tie, Oestrond was by no means at home in such an illustrious setting, not even after three years of meeting heads of state as president. Still, he had learned to eagerly await such occasions – if only for the dancing and the food. Oestrond gingerly walked up the few steps to the main entrance. The door had already been opened for him.

"Armagnac as an aperitif?" Aubrey raised an eyebrow and smiled. "Well, I never drink brandy before a meal, myself, so I'm sure you'll excuse the lack of anything aged in the bar. But I promise there will be a fine selection of brandies at the after-dinning sitting; in-addition to that certain French tipple I have a weakness for, we have the Fereldonian equivalents of Andwenyeth (Anduin brandy), Brandwyenyeth (Branduin brandy). Cornlasyeth (Cornlasil brandy)- which, if I may say, is the finest drink this entire kingdom produces, and happens to be one I myself happen to make- and Wīldyeth, the popular brandy from the West Weald of Cyrodiil to the south. I'm sure any of these will be a fine digestive, especially if we have two or three." Aubrey chuckled with the cluster of people, and then excused himself to welcome the Goncaran representatives. "Executive Director, hod hed perārch yn thewīr ('this is truly an honour'). Welcome to Avaerilon, sir." The king bowed to Austin and then shook his hand warmly. "Thank you, your majesty, it's a true pleasure to be here with your majesty in such a place. I look forward to dinner!" "And me as well! I must say, the chef has excelled himself tonight." He smiled and then turned to Minister Young, whom he also presented with a bow. "Brendolyr, crysso īren elym inar yn yr hendag fendan ('Minister, welcome to you here in my own house')." *** The conversation went on for some time, Executive Director Walls particularly interested in hearing about Aubrey's own classic car collection, when the announcer spoke clear again. "His Grace and Lordship, Lord Havelock Vetinari, Patrician of Avaerilon. His Esteemed Worthiness, Archchancellor Mustrum Ridcully, the Unseen University, Avaerilon. His Honour Doctor Gwilym Gladstyn, Prime Minister of Avaerilon. His Honour Iago Penderyn of Avaerilon.""Ah, gentlemen, my government has arrived! Allow me to formally introduce you." The first figure to step forward was a large, powerfully-built man, around 60 years in age, ruddy-cheeked and with a great bushy beard, wearing fine wine-red velvet robes, and taking his large-brimmed, pointed hat off. With his staff and hat in one hand, he bowed before his king, and inclined his head sagely to the guests. "May I present Archchancellor Ridcully?" "Ah, how do you chaps do?" said the wizard, replacing his hat and firmly shaking the Goncarans' hands with vigour. "A real pleasure, sirs, to welcome you to our country. I see you've got know my liege here; damned good chap, ver' diplomatic and such. Ah, I see we have canapes. Would you excuse me?" The great figure stalked off powerfully after a waiter, laden with trays of light foods, and waylaid him. "And that, gentlemen, is a senior wizard for you. The world would be a poorer place without them, I'm sure." Another man, tall and thin, had almost magically appeared next to the King, who appeared unfazed by this sudden appearance. Clad all in black silk and velvet, with combed-back, short grey-tipped black hair and a wry moustache, the tall figure bowed low. "Havelock Vetinari, at your service, sirs. It is a rare thing to have so many distinguished gentlemen as yourselves here with us this evening. Allow me to present our own Prime Minister, Dr. Gladstyn." A bald man, keen-eyed and with a warm smile, stepped forward, bowed low before the king and the patrician, and then did the same to his foreign friends. "Gwilym Gladstyn, gentlemen, and a true pleasure to meet you. On behalf of the people of Avaerilon, and my own government, I welcome you most warmly to our country." A final man, tall, dark-haired, and very handsome, presented himself to the group. "Iago Penderyn, crysso yn val, my dear sirs. I have only ever had the pleasure of writing to you both before; to meet you in-person is such a fine thing indeed."

The Minister shook Penderyn's hand. "Indeed, quite a pleasure."
Upon hearing the door opening, the Director happily called the representatives from Northern Inertia over to join him, the Minister and the King.
"Welcome to my humble abode," King Aubrey said,"this is Executive Director Austin Walls of Goncar and the Goncaran Minister of Foreign Affairs and Embassies, Caleb Young." The men shook hands.

Meanwhile at the entrance of the mansion an unassuming blue van arrived. Rusty and barley functioning the van struggled to keep moving before it abruptly died in front of the mansion entrance.
A old man stepped out of the passenger seat, coughing due to all the smoke. The man gestured whit his right hand to the driver who restarted the car and drove away.
Supreme chairman Eiphyr vad Geldmorhen has arrived.

”It is a great pleasure to meet you, gentlemen,” said President Oestrond. ”Your Majesty must allow me to express my admiration for your beautiful country – it is beyond me how I have never visited before.”
A waiter walks up to them. ”Ah – yes, a martini would be perfect. And are those canapés? Delightful!”

"Mr. President," said Aubrey, bowing. "It is indeed a pleasure to meet you, sir. Ah, thank you. We are always happy to share our landscape with visitors; the Dragonspine mountains are magical, aren't they? I trust you had a pleasant journey?" The King and President Oestrond began to converse, the former's easy-going and friendly nature putting the latter at ease. "Indeed, sire," said the President "I had no idea you could do that with a rose bush!" "That's exactly what he said to me!" Replied Aubrey, causing the party to descend into laughter.
"My liege," said an attendant, bowing before the King. "I believe the Supreme Chairman of Newhalla has arrived, and I've noticed his vehicle seems to be having a few problems. Might I-" "Oh yes, please do offer my workshop to the Hallan staff; it would be a pleasure to help a guest in such a matter. Let the have anything they require." "Yes, my king, at once."
The attendant turned and walked out of the room, making his way to where the Hallan van had beached itself in a cloud of smoke.
"His Excellency Supreme Chairman vad Geldmorhen."

Cattus continued to marvel at the structure, as more and more guests arrived. "King Aubrey really knows how to pick a venue," He thought to himself, having had an excellent first impression of the event and of Avaerilon as a whole.

vad Geldmorhen walked calmly to the manor as the Avaerlonian attendant rushed past him. He approached the King and bowed slightly. "A pleasure to meet you tour majesty, excuse me for my late arrival. We had some problem whit transportation" As vad Geldmorhen finished the sentence the van that he arrived in spontaneously combusted. He ran towards the van. "Ciri, are you alright?" "I'm fine" a female voice responded. " Good now clean this mess and return back to the embassy" vad Geldmorhen turned back towards the king. "Truly sorry about that".

"Oh, not at all; please, allow my staff to repair your van, or at least provide your embassy with a vehicle to tide your staff over with. And let me say what a pleasure it is to meet you, Supreme Chairman," said Aubrey, crossing his chest and bowing before vad Geldmorhen. Allow me to offer you some refreshment, and some for your driver, too."
Aubrey put his left arm behind the Supreme Chairman and led him to the drawing room; meanwhile, an Avaerilonian attendant helped Ciri out of the ruined van, which was now little more than cinder, and gave her a stiff drink of whisky.
"Ah, Supreme Chairman, have you met Cattus Marius; the honourable ambassador from Elonador?"

As they enter the building, the three Newdepolderians part. Garrett walks down a side hall and leans against the wall, breathing somewhat more heavily than he should be. Why am I being such an idiot. I'm fine. I do this all the time. he thinks. Even the Kilt. Of course, that's generally either domestic or a visit to Scotland, but, they're Celtic, the Avaerilonians. "Are you quite alright, sir?" says an attendant emerging from a nearby room. "Yes, of course, yes. Thank you. Just... catching my breath." "Very well sir. Do you require any refreshment?" "No, no thank you. Perhaps in a few minutes." The attendant nods and walks towards everyone else, leaving Garrett to his thoughts.

"Never had the pleasure, but excuse me gentlemen i need to find a lavatory fast" Geldmorhen hastily left the King and the ambassador. It did not take long before he found what he was looking for.
Just moments after Geldmorhen returned from the lavatory he was approached by a man he did not recognize.
"My pleasure entirely, Mr Diego Valquial i presume?" He shook hands whit the man. "Well Newhalla is quite alright, compared to what its was a mere 2 years ago. And the elections are not far away".

With her white silk scarf draped elegantly around her shoulders, the Crown Princess gently descended a grand staircase. At every turn there was a shining suit of armour, glistening blindingly. The vast, vast walls were covered in a chaotic selection of mismatched artworks, yet the whole display seemed to work. Ārohi's nimble legs' quick motion made the Crown Princess look like she was gliding across the steps while her crimson dress flowed freely behind her. She was soon at the bottom of the staircase and had entered a delicately chiselled stone corridor lit up by glowing glass orbs. When she looked closer, she could see that the orbs were in fact crystal globes containing fireflies. "Ingenious!" she chuckled to herself as she proceeded down the corridor. Every so often she would pass a heavy oak door that was decorated in delicate ironwork. Some doors depicted great battles, or long ocean voyages, or citadels shining like jewels in a crown of mountains. None of the doors showed any indication that a great feast was laid behind them so Ārohi decided to try her luck and see what was through the nearest door. Behind it was a small marble hall. A glass chandelier was hanging unlit in the centre and was looking rather forlorn. Magnificent as the room was, there was no throng of foreign dignitaries so she turned back towards the door. As she turned though, a man wearing a kilt was hiding away in a corner muttering panting. Ārohi walked towards the strange man, maybe he knows where the King is she thought to herself. As she got closer she noticed that the man was really quite handsome, well if you liked that sort of thing anyway. "Excuse me, sir, but do you know where His Most Royal Majesty would be?" She noticed the look of worry on his face, "Are you alright good sir?" The man looked up. "Me? Oh yes, just uh, just having a quick breather before the party." He patted his left jacket pocket absentmindedly, "Where are my manners? Garret van der Polder, Patriarch of the Free Newdepolderian States," he said blushing bash fully. "And you must be Princess Ārohi?" "Crown Princess," she smiled. "Well, could a charming young man like you do a favour for me and lead me to the main event?" "Certainly," he replied, "Would ma'am like to follow?" Garret reached out his arm and Ārohi accepted his offer. Arms linked they left the hall and wandered back down the corridor. "It's quite a do, maybe as many as 20 attendees."

Advisor Frieser walks away from his two companions and makes his way to the bar, shaking a few hands as he goes. "A glass of wine please" he says to the bartender. "What would you like?" "Your finest red." "Very well, sir." The bartender pours him a glass of wine, telling him about the wine. It was called... well, something long and Avaerilonian. Adriaan had never been one for linguistics, a fact that often brought a grin to the patrirch's face, especially when he tried to speak Icelandic. He did, however, hear than it was precisely 700 years old. He takes a sip. "Oh, this is divine! We certainly don't have this quality in New de Polder. What did you say this was called?" The bartender says it's name again. Adriaan once again has no idea what he said. "Right, yes. Absolutely delicious. Perfect. Thank you." Adriaan made a mental note to come here wine tasting some day.
Director-General Maarten van Rijn walks towards two men as he parts with his countrymen. He recognises Supreme Chairman Vad Geldmorhen immediately, but can't place the other man's face. "Excuse me gentlemen. I do hope I'm not interrupting."

As Garrett and the Crown Princess walk towards the other guests, he tries to cover up his nervousness. "I must say, ma'am, you cought me in a somewhat compromising position there. I've been trying to kick the habit for years. This was my first one in two months, and, I shouldn't say so, but it's been long overdo." Garrett mentally kicks himself. Rambling is not something one does in conversation with a monarch, especially with the stunning Aarohi.
OOC: One moment. I'll change the response. He is wearing a kilt, though.
