Hi again, everyone! As you well doubt know, we have, in-addition to our fine and much-envied regional map, a flag map showing the countries of the SLU with their respective flags. Now, I would like to craft us all another map- this time one to scale! What- isn't the Regional Map to scale? No, and for an obvious reason; the great level of detail means nations can't be too big or too small. If it was to scale, countries like my own (which is considerably bigger than the EU!) would dominate the map, leaving smaller countries difficult to see, and without and legible detail. It would also take considerably longer to map the bigger nations! The map serves to give everyone an approximate idea of locations, but also to show clearly the kind of terrain and geography they have. What would you show on a scale map?I don't plan to show much, other than the most major cities and perhaps rivers, too. It will simply give everyone an idea of where everyone else is exactly, and how big the various nations of the SLU are. Ok, what do I need to furnish you with?Since I'm only average at maths, I'd rather have an image than exact measurements. To this end, I would like an image of your nation compared to the island of Great Britain (you don't need to include Northern Ireland!). The reason for this is that I've already done this with my nation, and it would allow me to more easily size everyone-up. Here's what I mean: *** Hopefully I can get as many of you as possible on the scale map the way you like! For those who don't give me any info, I'll just use my judgement based on your neighbours, your factbook, et al. Please post an image and any info you think necessary to give me! Hopefully I can get a first edition out soon :D

Great Britain for scale. Not as large as Ava, but not small either.

Hyfryd! I've also heard from Aertaseren that they're roughly the size of France, so we've got 8 people plus my various nations (6, including Montevittora and LuxBel as part of Avaerilon), so that's a good start. I'll hopefully have a prototype map up soon :)

Reboot Time!Hi again, everyone! As you well doubt know, we have, in-addition to our fine and much-envied regional map, a flag map showing the countries of the SLU with their respective flags. Now, I would like to craft us all another map- this time one to scale! If it was to scale, countries like my own (which is considerably bigger than the EU!) would dominate the map, leaving smaller countries difficult to see, and without and legible detail. It would also take considerably longer to map the bigger nations! Oh, and the file size would be ridiculous; the current regional map will cause most computers to slow-down considerably (thank goodness for GPUs!), so imagine something 5 times bigger than even that! The regional map at it stands serves to give everyone an approximate idea of locations, but also to show clearly the kind of terrain and geography they have. Here is the image you need to use:To compare, please place GB either inside your nation, if it will fit, ideally near the centre, or alongside it. Make sure the image you provide me as a .png for better quality. I recommend imgur as an image-hosting site. Here's an example of geographical Avaerilon for an example: Look at the regional map, compare Logres to Avaerilon, and you'll realise just how big the change will be!

Does my previous post still suffice, or would you like it re-done and in PNG? If so, pure physical geography, I take it, no Ice or anything?

A cleaner png would be lovely; just rivers and very large lakes, please!

I have an outline form, and a standard one for you, because I think that should help with terrain clarity. 7 mins to modify existing maps to make those, so let me know if they aren't what you needed.

Ideally I'm looking for a .png that's as basic as possible, i.e. single colour landmass

So...This then? If not then it will be a little longer, because that one took 25 mins, and lots of my available concentration. I like mapping though, so it's fine.
