The doors swung open to the coffee shop, letting in a cool breeze that swept away the vapor rising up from the coffee in People's Commissar Bryan's cup. He enjoyed the slow pace of the world around him this early Sunday morning as he opened up the pages to his Social Liberal Union Tribune and flipped to the Regional News section. To his surprise, he saw that a new delegate had been elected -- an old friend of his had made it to the highest position in the region and Bryan couldn't have been happier. The bell over the door rang and Bryan lowered his paper to make out who it was that had just walked in: Iago Penderyn, Minister of Foreign Affairs of Avaerilon. A smile cracked on the people's commissar's face as the minister made his way over to him.
"Welcome back to the North American Republics, Iago. I'm surprised to see you here," Bryan said.
"It is my pleasure, People's Commissar Bryan. His Most Royal Majesty, King Aubrey the Dragonheart wanted me to tell you that you should join the race for minister of domestic affairs."
Bryan reached for his coffee and slowly took a sip, mulling over the chance to become minister of domestic affairs. "I'll do it. Tell King Aubrey the Dragonheart thank you for the support."

North American Republics for Minister of Domestic Affairs
Good morning/afternoon/evening, my fellow member states. I am exceedingly happy to announce my candidacy for Minister of Domestic Affairs and I hope that I can secure your votes. I would like to announce a fluid list of priorities that I will focus on as minister.

Good morning/afternoon/evening, my fellow member states. I am exceedingly happy to announce my candidacy for Minister of Domestic Affairs and I hope that I can secure your votes. I would like to announce a fluid list of priorities that I will focus on as minister.
Priorities:
- Renew activity in the region
- The number one concern of the Minister of Domestic Affairs should be how to get new members to participate in the social goings-on of the region. To that end, more regular announcements will be made to the region in conjunction with the World Assembly Delegate and Speaker of the Union. As minister, I will also work with the Minister of Immigration to promote activities in the region to newcomers.

- Clean-up
- The forum has become cluttered with dead boards and threads along with quickly worked descriptions that have not been changed in months. As a former Speaker of the Union, I know my way around our forum and even I am having trouble understanding where some things are or should be. I will work closely with the current Speaker of the Union to find a way to cleanly organize the forum as it would help promote activity.

- People first
- As a voice in government, I will do my best to listen to what the region has to say about issues at hand. I am not, however, afraid to make hard decisions in domestic affairs if it will benefit the region. Activities will become means-tested to ensure that time and effort in a project is invested wisely. Supporting an activity that no longer garners participation is inefficient. A key example of this is the planetary role-play sub-board. It is adding to the clutter that is simply not necessary.
The prior three will be my main priorities if elected to the position of Minister of Domestic Affairs. A region in decline needs someone willing to do what they can to stop the decline and improve it in whatever areas they can and I am ready to take on the job. All I need is your vote.
