What action should be taken. And why?
NFN poll.

Covert action. Already The Hearts of Kujang, secretly jointly controlled and supplied by the UDS and Libera Espero, has gained a large heading in the GDR as a legitimate revolutionary movement. A rebellion like that will help discourage the government of the GDR from further aggressive action while it is going through an internal conflict. Furthermore, if the revolution is successful, the new government could form a free, peaceful nation, or reunite with Dai-Kujang if it would like. Overall, it has the potential to save millions of lives, both through aversion of possible future war, and aversion of inevitable human rights abuses by the current Kujangese government.

Covert operations, due to a need of a small war to prevent a large-scale conflict. We want to have the people liberate themselves instead of us having to march into a strange country clueless of their culture and trying to insert our own government down their throats. Revolution is an inside-out thing, not the other way around. Spain did similar things for the US during the American Revolution. The alternative is allowing a capricous government keep its iron will engraved on the populace.

It seems that the SLU is fairly split over what action we should take. States like Libera Espero and I are running a secret revolutionary movement, Newhalla and Oceanic Atolls are taking the purely diplomatic route, and there are some like New de Polder who are condemning the GDR and preparing for outright war. As this crisis heats up, it may become pragmatically necessary for the region as a whole to reach a consensus on how to handle the situation, before all of our causes are rendered null through lack of coordination.

There have been calls from Newhallas nationalist, conservative and SLUan skeptics to defend the GDR from what as they perceive as a violation of GDR's sovereignty while the center, leftist and liberals call for diplomatic negotiations and economical aid. States minister Keane is pressured from both side and might be likely to take a some kind of a middle ground on this issue.
