Got a question about Avaerilon? Want to know what the day-to-day life of ordinary citizens is like? How our judicial system works? Which is the most popular brand of men's deodorant? Please, post below with (just about :P ) any question you would like to know the answer to! It's also a great way for me to find interesting factbook content ;)

Avaerilonians enjoy a good excuse to celebrate something; thus, there are many ways the people of Avaerilon celebrate. I'll talk about celebrations in-general, rather than special occasions (e.g. the King's birthday, Hogswatch [Christmas & New Year]).
Feasting is still popular in Avaerilon; so, whenever there's something to celebrate, the feasting halls are opened, their huge tables polished, and colourful banners hung from the rafters. People will offer to help with the cooking and preparation of the food served, and many Avaerilonians will cook something at home and bring it to the feast. Mead is traditionally drunk at celebratory feasts, but wines and beers are popular too. Before the feasts themselves, Avaerilonians hold little contests of song, dance, music and story-telling, and comedians are sought-after to tell a few good jokes before eating.
