Citizens Safety Act (SLU)
This act tightly regulates weapons in an effort to keep citizens safe.
Objectives
-Tightly regulate firearms
-Prevent dangerous people from acquiring weapons
-Create a Firearms Regulation Board, to protect member states citizens from fire arms
Section One
Firearms
- Hereby bans ALL assault weapons from the SLU. The only government agency that can posses firearms is the member states armed forces. These weapons, however, can NOT be used against that member states citizens. Law Enforcement agencies may NOT posses assault weapons.
-Hereby bans ALL firearms cartridges capable of holding more than 8 rounds. Military and Law Enforcement agencies may still use these magazines, with permission from the government of said member state.
-Hereby bans ALL firearms from the SLU. Military and Law Enforcement agencies may still posses firearms if approved by said member state.
-Defines a firearm as- any weapon that launches a bullet or shrapnel piece capable of causing serious harm or death.
Section Two
Firearm Sales
-No citizens shall sell, give away or produce firearms of any kind.
-Government shall not sell or give citizens firearms of any kind.
-Governments of member states MAY produce firearms, but are subject to investigation by the Firearms Regulation Board.
-Any government suspected of selling firearms to terrorists or citizens of member states, may have their right to produce firearms revoked by the FRB (Firearms Regulation Board).
Section Three
Firearms Regulation Board
-Hereby creates the Firearms Regulation Board.
-The Firearms Regulation Board shall be composed of 7 member states that have been elected by the SLU.
-These member states shall investigate nations producing firearms and be sure they are doing so in a legal, responsible way.
-This board may revoke a nations right to produce firearms, if they get a majority vote from the board.
-Member states that feel the ruling is unfair, may appeal to the Parliament. If they get a 2/3 majority vote in parliament they may continue to produce firearms.

Member States Rights
-The SLU recognizes the right of all member states to their culture and opinions
-If any member state has a cultural reason to allow their citizens firearms, they may appeal for the right to allow their citizens firearms in parliament, and must win a 4/5 majority vote.
