What's expensive in your nation? Got a high tax on alcohol or a levy on foreign cars? Conversely, what's cheap to buy? Tax-free goods? Well-priced fuel? Pick 3-5 expensive things and 3-5 cheap things and tell us about why they're practically unaffordable/growing on trees.
Well, cars, red meat and tobacco are pretty dear in Avaerilon. All cars, except for pre-1980 "classics" have to undergo a hydrogen conversion or be electric if they are to be sold here, which makes them expensive. A £20,000 car in the UK would be around £30,000 in Avaerilon. That said, hydrogen fuel is about 3 ceiniog/litre, so in the long term, it probably saves money. Red meat is subject to a small extra tax to encourage people to eat less of it for health reasons. The same reason is made for taxing tobacco, which is so expensive in Avaerilon that less than a percent of the population actually smoke it.
On the flip-side, fruit and vegetables are tax-free, to make sure everyone is able to afford a healthy diet. The same goes for fish, as long as it's from Avaerilon. Books are incredibly cheap in Avaerilon, since most people are innate bookworms. A £9.99 book in the UK would go for the equivalent of £3.00 in Avaerilon.

Expensive
1. Cars. Grolsch has a policy of discouraging the use of cars. There's a special 50% tax on them and motorists pay 5 cents per km in GSPU fees ("Get Somewhere, Pay Up"). There's also a fee of 25 cents per km for petrol- and diesel-powered trucks in urban areas. 2. Manufactured materials: steel, iron, etc. Expensive because of stringent environmental regulations. 3. Vegetables. Expensive because there's a land of arable land in Grolsch. We tend to import a lot of vegetables from Eggy216 and Azerzia.
Cheap 1. Public transport tickets. Because of a huge volume of passengers and our experience in running efficient automated public transport networks, bus and tram tickets are 19.4% cheaper compared to the SLU average. Metro tickets are 5% cheaper, train tickets 24% and ferries are free of charge within Grolschian territory. 2. Membership of sports clubs. Subsidized by the government, everyone can enjoy sports nearly free. 3. International travel & language courses. The Grolschian government values citizens with an international point of view. Therefore, international plane tickets are subsidized and language courses, excluding Grolschian, are provided free of charge.

Expensive Alcohol. Due to a heavy drinking tradition the government of Newhalla has monopolized the market for alcohol and has significantly ramped up the prices.
Meat. Due to the environmental impacts that comes whit over eating of meat (Newhalla has a very deep tradition of meat eating) the Hallan government has monopolized the market for meat and raised the prices.
Wood. Due to very strict environmental regulations wood is very expensive in Newhalla. This mean the prices of books and paper is higher the most country's.
Cheap
Green Cars, vegetables and "dead meat". Are all subsidized by the government. Dead meat is artificially produced meat.

Expensive: 1. Guns- Guns are very expensive due to Comanici's large crime rates. This has introduced an increased rate of stranglings and knifings.
2. Wood- Comanici has very few trees and most trees are brought from Venezuela, Australia and India. Indigenious Comanician trees were much to large and sturdy for early settlers to cut down (it would take days to cut down one tree). Paper can be found at about 0.25£ a sheet.
3. Fur- Fur is very scarce in Comanci due to vast amounts of protests in Johannesburg and Pretoria. 1 Mink Fur Coat can be cound at about 12,250£, if you're lucky.
Cheap-
Diamonds & Platinum- Precious metals and jewels are the main export of Comanici and Comanici holds 79% of the SLU's Platinum mines. Diamonds are sent to Antwerp, Luxembourg-Belgium for inspection and delivery.
Fish- Fish are very common throughout Comanici. Fishing was the main economy of Comanici until 1902 when diamonds were found near Pretoria. Fish are also one of Comanici's favorite meals.
