History of the USS of Oceanic Atolls

Foundation
The USS of Oceanic Atolls was founded on December 28, 2012. Prior to this date, the Oceanic Atolls were a small, separated group of islands. Each of these islands was ruled by an individual who had left their own society, in hopes of founding a new country, run with their own ideals, to prove that their imagined system was infinitely better. These five islands were united under one national banner by Chia L'Étranger, leader of the central and largest of the islets. He demonstrated to the leader of each island that that their ideologies were similar enough to justify unification, and that they could gain more international clout by doing so.

First Regional Shift - Ten Thousand Islands
On the first day after the unification of the five isles, Overseer L'Étranger was contacted by a delegate from the region known as the Ten Thousand Islands, inviting the newly-forged nation to pick up stumps and move into their region. The nations accepted, and transport was arranged to shift the USS of Oceanic Atolls to their new home.

Second Regional Shift - Social Liberal Union
On January 4, 2012, after a brief stay of only six days in the Ten Thousand Islands, Overseer L'Étranger began to cast around for a new region. His reasoning was twofold - firstly, he wanted a region more aligned with the political standpoint of his nation; and secondly, he wanted to move to a smaller region, where he could make more headway politically. Having decided on an appropriate candidate, the Overseer arranged to have his nation moved to a new region - the Social Liberal Union.

The USS of Oceanic Atolls is a peaceful state, preferring disarmament and diplomacy over war. As such, there is no national military, whatsoever.
