I. Introduction
The Empire of Kandorith is a colossal ancient nation, where warlords have fought for hundreds of years to control the land. It is over-populated and was forced to start building into the height of the skies about 40 years ago. The land itself has stunning environments, surrounded by harsh previously industrial cities, which are slowly being replaced by modern metropolises.
The people, counting in the billions, are spiritual, traditional and kind. They welcome anyone into Kandorith, despite the closed borders. Foreigners are a rare sight, but are treated like they are the warlords of old. The nation's strife is to be righteous, free, proud and heroic, where all else fails, to be a beacon of ever standing national pride, a statement of perhaps one of the most ancient civilizations.
The emperor is the figurehead of the government and her people, he heads parliament like a calm dragon oversees his young. The government is dedicated to protecting her borders at all costs, although this might seem militaristic to one nation, Kandorith ensures she solely protects her sovereignty.
In times of war however, Kandorith is ruthless and fearless. The many wars fought over thousands of years on the Kandorese mainland and her seas have costed perhaps millions to billions of lives. Where ancient warlords once fought with armies of a million versus a million, now walk hundreds of millions of soldiers, loyal to one kingdom and one emperor.
II. History in Short
As a land, Kandorith has always been populated in one form or another, from simple prehistoric tribesmen through thundering Medieval warlords up to the high-tech, stylish and modern present day people. Kandorese ancient history is reflected in the culture of today, from politics to sport and everything in between. The nation itself, however, was only designated as 'Kandorith' from around 470(52 Kandorese Calendar) because of the creation of a first real Kingdom by [[Emperor Ture]], Eventually the country was divided in Three seperately operating states, during the "Three Kingdom Dynasty"
During the Three Kingdom Dynasty the three states of Kan, Shuo , Gan, Ryu and Feng waged war for over a hundred years, trying to claim sovereignty over one other and re-united the land into what is now known as Kandorith.
The Dynasty had multiple states, but was named after the three greater kingdoms, eventually being the victors over the smaller ones, Kan, Shuo and Wei, which emerged from the ashes of the Gan kingdom.
Their efforts were futile and by the end of the Dynasty, in the year 280 the three empires collapsed and were usurped by the Jin. The Jin Dynasty gave way to a much more open and organized style of politics within the empire. The new established Empire of Kan, later named Kandorith started exploring the world around her and opened trade with newly discovered lands, leading into a prospering civilization until the late Hakuei Dynasty in the year 1100.
The corrupt and power hungry Hakuei emperors tore the land apart at it's very foundation, robbing the people from their estate, money and titles. During one single emperor, Emperor Mashuhei the empire suffered three wars in short succession, eventually leading to the collapse of the entire imperial system. The war for Kandorith's precious gems and soil was about to take it's toll, as multiple states declared independence from the imperial throne and armed themselves for a new period of warring states.
The fall of the Hakuei throne brought chaos to the land for almost three-hundred years, till a new imperial family finally emerged victorious, descendants of the great Jin emperors took the faith of the nation in their own hands and rebuilt the imperial system, which brought much prosperity to it's subjects. The Rurei and later the Resai emperors are among the most celebrated rulers in Kandorese history, modernizing the empire and the first national universities were established, next to the private universities. The Resai Dynasty was mostly a dynasty of learning and archiving the mostly destroyed history of the nation.
Arming herself mildly, in the believe of all that is good in the world and under heaven's rule, the empire dedicated much of her efforts in creating a technologically advanced nation, with growth and optimal living in mind, only to notice a fatal flaw in minimum defence and military technology spending.
The Resai reign came to a violent end in the year 1912. After countless emperors in a peaceful rule the Ardon invaded from far beyond the seas of the Kandorese mainland, advanced in military technology and strategy. The Kandorese spirit was high, but the army lacked the firepower to repel the invaders. Slowly the land fell, province by province, household by household to the raging fires of the Ardon agression. Being proud and not willing to surrender the entire country was destroyed and the military forces hunted down every last member of the imperial family, imperial scribes and parliament. The flag of Kandorith was removed from the imperial palace and made place for the hammer and sickle of the Ardon regime, which would last, for many, for ever.
During the Ardon regime many technological advances were made, but the people were kept from it, all was to return to the nation of Kreiassar, the home land of the invaders. Slowly the Kandorese industry became more depleted, leading to much anger among the population, of which many were already imprisoned for not agreeing with the Ardon rule, or simply still praying to the traditional religion. As the prison camps were filling up, more and more people were simply executed, leading to the death of over eighty million Kandorese people in a time span of just fifty years.
In may 2008 however a rebellion started in the city of Yata, a rebellion which would quickly spread into a looming civil war, but would remain without large civilian casualties. The people of Yata praised a new leader, Emperor Uchi, saying he was send by the heavens to free the people from opression and restoring the nation as it was supposed to be. With the aid of military advisors and a handful of soldiers the rebellion avoided enemy contact until they reached the capital. Within the capital they could use the generosity of the people and their believes of being free once again to reach the palace square. On the 8th of May Overlord Ardon was shot on orders of the rebellion and Emperor Uchi ascended the throne.
The new Emperor was a man of honour and kept true to his word, trying to rebuilt the empire as quickly as possible with the now gained technology. Although before he could see his dream realized, the emperor was assassinated by Ardon loyalists. With a reconstructed regime, armed forces and foreign policies a new power struggle began, between the widow of the late emperor and the first son of the emperor, Emperor Aisho.
The power struggle led to the poisoning of Emperor Aisho, allowing Empress Cixi to ascend the throne as supreme ruler of the nation, her reign began to look more and more like the Ardon regime, after invading smaller islands for their resources and imprisoning those who opposed her. Parliament was constructed purely from pre-chosen ministers and scholars, all in favour of the empress. Late 2010, early 2011 Kandorese politics would receive a massive shake-up. Santo Igahano won the popular vote, but was not allowed to enter office, a wave of anger roar across the land and voices of forcing Empress Cixi to step down grew louder.
In February 2011 Kandorith declared war on the Tsching-to Federation and invaded the nation without any chance of diplomacy. Five large cities across the nation erupted in protest, along with the capital. They all voiced the same, Empress Cixi had to give up the throne to parliament and Santo Igahano. Their demands were met by tanks and tear-gas fired into the crowds. In the capital, armed forces opened fire with live rounds, killing at least a thousand protesters. The state of Hujíajíng set up it's own government, under a scholar by the name of Xían Cao, descendant of the ruling warlord of Wei by the same name. His support grew as the Kandorese politics faltered and became more desperate. Many nations supported the rebellion of Xian Cao, including General Al-Saryaff of Masentur, who send weapons, tanks and even troops to aid Xían in his mission.
In April the regime fell, after a bloody civil war and partial foreign intervention. Xian Cao took oath and ascended his ancestor's throne as Emperor Xían, to rule the land as an honest and honest leader. He re-instated parliament with Santo Igahano as prime minister and established a system called "The People's Empire" where voting for the leaders and petitions are the central point of the Kandorese government system.

IV. Government of Kandorith
The Government of the Kandorese Empire is structured around an imperial regent, who governs the state absolutely. The Emperor serves both as head of the Imperial Sakuei (Parliamentary Office) and as Head of the State. The Imperial Regency possesses all of the powers typically isolated in other more democratic institutions. In this manner, the Emperor serves as the legislative, the executive, and the judicial head of the government. However, because of the Kandorese 1st Law the Emperor needs to consult Parliament to use this power. Without acknowledgement of Parliament, the emperor has no power. The Sakuei - which is composed of around 500 ministers - draws laws to petition the Emperor for Imperial concern and redress. These laws and concerns mostly come forth from local governments and their representatives they have enough political and social knowledge, that the Emperor does not typically ignore petitions made by the Sakuei. Each province also has its own Local Assembly, which deals specifically with the needs of the individual province, which should then be presented to the Sakuei and eventually the Emperor before the law is issued.
Imperial Sakuei
The Executive Powers are represented in the Imperial Cabinet, called the Sakuei - which is composed of the Emperor himself, the Prime Minister, the Principal Ministers, Sub-Principal Ministers and the Governors of the Provinces in case of colonies, a representative is elected to represent the colony in the Imperial Cabinet). Not all of the members of the Sakuei, only the Governors, representatives and the Prime Minister are popularly elected by the people - the Ministers are appointed by the Sakuei itself, then checked by the Emperor and acknowledged. As every person has an equal vote (including the Emperor, who reserves his vote typically as the tiebreaker by tradition and custom), the executive power of the Empire is much more democratic than it seems.
The judicial power is divided among popularly elected judges, which receive their authority from Imperial confirmation by the Emperor. In the lower ranks, the mayors and prefects serve as the judges for their respective districts. Although the Emperor reserves the right to exercise the final judgement on any particular matter, which must be appealed by dissatisfied claimants through the judicial ranks system, in practice decisions seldom go beyond their point of origin, owing to the cost of pursuing further appeals and the general trend that lower court decisions are upheld by the higher courts. Any person is capable of participating in the Imperial Government if he/she/it has successfully passed through very strict examinations, successful completion of the required stages of the examinations are necessary for official participation and promotion within the Imperial Government, although apprenticeship is also authorized for students preparing for the examination and further study in the government. In this manner, the Imperial Government maintains some opportunity to all citizens of the Empire.
V. Economy of Kandorith
The Economy of Kandorith is a powerhouse of technologically advanced businesses, trade centers and research centres. Dominated by technology driven industries - such as IT and electronics industries. Much of the economy is also service-driven, such as retail and hospitality. The Empire also holds a very competitive construction industry, as well as diverse primary industries and secondary industries. Much of the success for the Kandorese economy has been a centrally driven economic force that has served the Empire for years now, in 'home-made products' This model is quite baffling and it remains uncertain how it exactly functions still. Nonetheless, the Empire's is also very intelligence and knowledge-driven, with its heavy emphasis on education and apprenticeship through the Examination structures of schools.
The economy is monitored chiefly by the Imperial Kandorese Economical Institute, which brings together the economic executives of the Empire and the officially recognized Imperial construction managers. This body combines the interests of the state and the various multinational leaders to devise economic policies that benefit the Imperial state while allowing businesses to grow. The IKEC also allows the Empire to manage its financial affairs, as well as determine the economic health of the state.
VI. Demographics of Kandorith
The total population of the Kandorese Empire at the last census was just over 3.5 billion people. A growing majority of the population are living in urban centres, while some live in rural areas still. Notable metropolitan centres include Xiǎngzhóu, Tǎngzímĕng, Qiāotoú, Hujíajíng, and Mǎzháng. While many people believe that natives of the Kandorese Empire are ethnically homogeneous, the diversity of culture and races in the Empire suggests otherwise. In all, the Empire possesses at least 5 significantly distinct ethnicities in the Empire. Complicating this fact is the general "Kandorese" term applied to citizens of the Empire - that by being a citizenship, one renounces one's tribal ancestry and claims devotion to the state. For this reason, tracing the full lineage of the many ethnicities in the Empire has become increasingly difficult, especially as inter-marriage becomes more common. Fortunately, devotion to family has helped retain some of the history of many genealogies, but it still remains a daunting task to identify so many people, yet those that descent from the 'true' families of Kandorith are considered to be either Kaj Kandorese or Yataha Kandorese.
Culture of Kandorith
Since ancient times, Kandorese culture has been heavily influenced by Kento and conservative philosophies. For centuries, opportunities for social advancement could be provided by high performance in the prestigious Imperial examinations, which were instituted in 605 AD to help the Emperor select skilful bureaucrats. The literary emphasis of the exams affected the general perception of cultural refinement in Kandorith, such as the belief that calligraphy and literati painting were higher forms of art than dancing or drama. A number of more authoritarian and rational strains of thought were also influential, with Legalism being a prominent example. There was often conflict between the philosophies – for instance, the individualistic Mei Dynasty believed that Legalism departed from the original spirit of Kento. Examinations and a culture of merit remain greatly valued in Kandorith today. In recent years, a number of New Kentoists have claimed that modern democratic ideals and human rights are compatible with traditional Kento values.
The first leaders of the new Empire of Kandorith were born into the traditional imperial order, but were influenced by the government reforms. They sought to change some traditional aspects of Kandorese culture, such as rural land tenure, sexism, and the Kento system of education, while preserving others, such as the family structure and culture of obedience to the state.
Some observers see the period following the establishment of the new Kandorese Empire as a continuation of traditional Kandorese dynastic history, while others claim that the Liberal Party's rule has damaged the foundations of Kandorese culture. The culture of the Kandorese people is unique to say the least, they are a traditional isolationalistic folk which prefers anything from Kandorese soil above all. From early times the Kandorese have been a dominating and expansionistic collection of people that eventually turned into an empire by merging multiple kingdoms and provinces. The history of the Kandorese culture is painted with five very distinct things; Jìgǔ, Hamuge, Yamorai, Kento and the Imperial Family.
VIII. The Kandorese Imperial Armed Forces
With over 40 million active troops, the Imperial Kandorese Armed Forces (IKAF) is a vastly huge standing military force, commanded by the Imperial Military Commission (IMC) and Defense Minister Hue-ge Tasho. The IKAF consists of the Imperial Kandorese Ground Force (IKGF), the Imperial Kandorese Navy (IKN), the Imperial Kandorese Air Force (IKAF), Imperial Kandorese Armour Corps (IKAC), Imperial Kandorese Marine Corps (IKMC) and the Imperial Kandorese Special Forces (IKSF). The official announced budget of the IKAF for 2011 was ௫15 trillion However, The Kandorese government has already anounced to increase this budget drastically. This because of international threats and peace missions, Kandorith is currently engaged in.
Incidentally, the Empire has seldom seen conflict with other countries, preferring a non-belligerent policy of protectionism, as declared by Emperor Aisho. The military tradition of the Empire of Kandorith follows the studies declared by ancient Warlords, Hamuge and Yamurai centuries before the foundation of the Empire as a whole. - such as Sai Makurete's Provincional Warfare and Seo Tsuke's Arts of Warfare'. According to the citizenship duties, all citizens are required by mandate to contribute a minimum of two years to serve in the Imperial Armed Forces, regardless of gender. Most citizens opt to serve in the forces, although a number of others opt to work in defense-related industries and services; the law is very free as in how to fulfill the Armed Forces Requirement, to allow all persons to serve in what capacity is available to them.
The IKAF has made significant progress in modernizing its military since the early 2000s. It has developed state-of-the-art fighter jets, such as the Sakura F1M and the Sateio E13A. The IKAF's ground forces have also undergone significant modernizations, replacing its ageing last millennium tank inventory with numerous variants of the modern Type Sú tank, and upgrading its battlefield C3I systems to enhance its network-centric warfare capabilities. Kandorith has also improved M-300 surface-to-air missile system, which is considered to be among the most effective aircraft-intercepting systems. A number of indigenous missile technologies have also been developed - earlier this year, Kandorith conducted a successful test of an anti-satellite missile, and its first indigenous land-attack cruise missile, the CJ-10, entered service in 2009. In 2011, also reported was that Kandorith was believed to be testing the LU-2 missile, a new submarine-launched nuclear ICBM with multiple-warhead delivery capabilities. The Kandorese Navy has always caught much attention, because of it's vastness and modern technology. It has been reported Kandorith is able to completely clean sweep a small to medium sized shore nation with only it's main naval strike force, most notable for the Yatoga Class Battleship and the Yamarasu Class Aircraft Carriers.
The Kandorese Imperial Armed Forces have been seldom engaged in conflicts in the modern era. -The last conflict being during the reign of Emperor Uchi against the Meisho Kingdom However, historically, the Empire has a proud military, dating to the foundation of the Empire by the Emperor Yatasei. Following the Tshingto-ke Agression, the Imperial Armed Forces began a wide-ranging operation to pursue the Tshingto-ke attackers to completely shut off their island of the world and eventually, invade them and annex the federation, however the war ended in truce and non-aggression pact.
