So I was wondering, if I were to create one here would you guys join it?
Each day, more and more trainers take to the streets of Kanto, trying to become the "very best, like no one ever was." Many step up and try to achieve this goal. Some, named Joey, catch Rattatas and can't seem to understand why they can't win. Others become Bug Catchers and get lost in the Viridian Forest for eternity. And others still catch six Magikarp and expect to defeat you. You must rise above these other trainers, challenge the pokemon league, and BECOME THE NEXT POKEMON MASTER.
You start out your journey in Pallet Town. You and your neighbors, friends since childhood, have decided to go out and challenge the Pokemon league together. You plan to visit Professor Gary Oak, who has taken over following his father's untimely death from being drowned by a Magikarp's "splash."
1. No god-mode. Or else I send all the legendaries in Kanto after you.
2. Because a lot of people don't know their pokemon past Generation 1, only Kanto pokemon are available in the wild. However you may be able obtain some pokemon from other generations through events later in the RP, as well as by selecting one as your starter.
3. Starters: Each starter can only be selected by one person. The list of available starters can be found below.
4. Gym Battles will take place through Pokemon Online. I'll add the link later, my internet at work isn't the best :P
5. When learning moves/evolving, just use your best judgement - your pokemon will level up as they should during the course of your journey (i.e. you shouldn't have a Venasaur when you battle Brock).
6. During the course of your journey, follow the typical path you would take throughout Kanto (i.e. the first gym battle will take place in Pewter, second in Cerulean, etc.)
