Grolsch Opens First Airport for Fixed-Wing Aircraft; Helicopter Enthousiasts Still See Grolsch As “Rotary-Wing Heaven”
KURMOV, ENNRA COUNTY, CAPITAL PROVINCE— The Government of the Kingdom of Grolsch, through the Grolsch Aviation Authority (GAA), announces the opening of Grolsch’ first-ever airport for fixed-wing aircraft. Nünna van Drakenslecht, Manager – Certification Department, GAA, said, “well, helicopters aren’t that great for international travel, are they? In this modern age, fixed-wing aircraft are needed. In the past, fixed-wing aircraft of all sizes have been known to use highways at night as airports. While an extremely cheap option for providing aviation services at an international level, our colleagues at the Ministry of Transport & Public Works have informed us they would ban fixed-wing aircraft from roads starting tomorrow. So we built an airport, with a capacity of 4 million passengers a year, two terminals, three runways – the longest of which can handle all aircraft models currently available to airlines – and four cargo bays. “
Ya-Pun Gutmann, the CEO of Grolsch International Airport PRSC, said, “I feel like a child surrounded by toys now! This is the happiest day of my life!”
It was rumored initial start-up operations at the fixed-wing division of government-sponsored Grolsch National Heliways were difficult, since Grolsch universities do not offer fixed-wing pilot courses yet.
Yallü Krügrä, President of the Grolsch Helicopter Association, told us in secret they still think Grolsch will be the ultimate helicopter destination, with one in seventy citizens operating a helicopter. The Grolsch helicopter fleet is the fourth-largest in the world, just behind Canada.

Government Fires Police Chief for Introducing "Big Brother-like" Surveillance System
UZVERTIM, CAPITAL COUNTY, CAPITAL PROVINCE-- The Government of Grolsch, through the Ministry of Internal Affairs, announces it has fired Grolsch Police Chief, Mr Abaärü Kränto, for introducing a Big Brother-like camera system in the capital city of Uzvertim. The system is against the Constitution of Grolsch. Minister of Internal Affairs, Miss Clarä Üan, said, "while Abaärü's performance in general was great, this system cannot be implemented nationwide and those involved in this scandal will be prosecuted to the fullest".

Chief National Helicopter Squad, Ökki Gaddan: “We need fixed-wing aircraft to secure Grolsch’ future”
UZVERTIM, CAPITAL COUNTY, CAPITAL PROVINCE— During heated budget debates in Parliament, Chief of the National Helicopter Squad (NHS) Ökki Gaddan requested funding for acquiring fixed-wing aircraft, the first such request in Grolsch history. Chief Gaddan said, “since we have demonstrated at Kurmov now we can build airports, let’s invest in fixed-wing transport aircraft, so our beloved county’s Army and Marine Corps can help with humanitarian missions in countries farther away then 300km from our border. Of course, if needed, we can go offensive as well”. No requests have been made for fixed-wing fighter aircraft yet. Currently, Grolsch has one of the largest fleets of rotary-wing attack aircraft in the world.

Grolsch Acquires 20 Ilyushin IL-76TD's; Renames National Helicopter Squad to Grolsch Air Force (GAF) BÜO AFB, CAPITAL COUNTY, CAPITAL PROVINCE-- Today Parliament has approved the purchase of 20 Ilyushin IL-76TD freighter aircraft from Russia at a total cost of some BRM 420 million. BÜO AFB, CAPITAL COUNTY, CAPITAL PROVINCE-- Parliament today announces it has approved the purchase of 125 Boeing AH-64 Apache and 110 EF2000 Eurofighter Typhoons. The reason for the large expansion of the RHS, which from now on is called the Royal Air Force, is increasing unrest in the region and a need for modernization. The RAF will have 280 helicopters, 110 fighter aircraft and 20 transport aircraft at its disposal after delivery of the aircraft in today's orders. |

NACICOG Investigation Committee Reports Findings
UZVERTIM, CC, CP-- Today the NACICOG Investigation Committee will report its findings in the biggest government scandal in Grolschian history. The findings are expected to result in the firing of several hundred officials at multiple ministries.
"NACICOG, if it were a country, would be more corrupt than Zimbabwe", says Parliamentary Investigations Chairman Dronküh Dork. "It should have been under direct control of Parliament and the Ministry of Foreign Affairs. Also, it wasn't exactly a smart idea to build NACICOG's headquarters in a generally hardly accessible mountainous area either".
The Investigative Committee recommend a review of all intelligence personnel by an independent commission. Also, the committee recommend a merger of the remainings of the former NACICOG with the Ministry of Foreign Affairs. Also, the budget should be limited and oversight should be provided by a Parliamentary Commission. Furthermore, the Intelligence Act of 1862 should be modernized.

Today thee NSA reported a major cras of over 1 million Grolschians crashing on the desert planet of Vongos and apparently planting several Grolschian flags and raiding a settelment, supposedly killing seven. The Grolschian government has yet to report on The situation. The provisional government is upaulled and wishes for an immediate response.

As I've said several times, Grolsch doesn't have a space fleet of its own. Also, our Ministry of Foreign Affairs believe you want to trick us in believing it were Grolschian space ships while they are actually Nargish space ships deemed unsafe by the aerospace safety authorities.

NACICOG Remains Merge with Foreign Affairs Intelligence Analysis Center to Create New Super-Agency Overseen by Parliament DRAKKADUK, DUK COUNTY, PROVINCE OF CRYPO--- Today the Minister of Foreign Affairs, Chris-Ho Sunü, announces the remains of the former NACICOG are to merge with the Ministry of Foreign Affairs' Foreign Affairs Analysis Center (FAIAC). Parliament has decided to do so yesterday in a 20-hour marathon meeting, because this way, all foreign intelligence operations will be directly supervised by a Ministry under supervision of a Minister and the Parliamentary Intelligence Committee (PIC), further reducing the risk of a NACICOG-like catastrophe happening again. The new intelligence agency will be created tomorrow and be named Foreign Intelligence Agency (FIA). It will operate directly as a division of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs. FIA will have two locations in Grolsch: the clandestine operations and training center in Wädü Mountain Village and the intelligence analysis, satellite operations, back-office and headquarters units in Uzvertim. FIA will ultimately have over 40 Foreign Intelligence Bureaus (FIBs), spread throughout 30 countries. Downed Grolschian Pilots taken to Spa Planet
After citizens on the outskirts of Narghalidus discovered the remains of a grolschian air liner, the survivors and pilots were taken to the spa planet of Ashorbys. The one hundred seven people will stay until the wounds heal and have invited Grolschian leaders to enjoy it as well, free of charge. Sources say the actions are to make up for the rebel attacks who carried Grolschian flags and tried to make The Conglomerate suspicious and create distrust. The leaders are now instead of gearing for war getting a shiatsu massage and have invited all leaders in the SLU to join.
