Name the Continents!

We have a new map, and, it's about to be a new year, so, to continue the theme, I need from all of you, a load of new names.

In this thread, please post ideas for each of the seven continents names. Once a continent has three name ideas, a poll will be run and one will be chosen (or all will be rejected), to give our world that extra touch of roleplay realism.

Continent 1

Name ideas:

Colour on Map: Copper

Climate and features: An extremely cold land, much of which is topped with permafrost or glacier, though its northern parts are hospitable to humans, with mountains, tundra and some temperate climate.

Continent 2

Name Ideas:

Colour on Map: Yellow

Climate and features: Highly varied climate spanning several degrees either side of the equator, with deserts, rainforests, woodland, and continental areas all abundant, as well as multiple secluded mountain areas, and some tundra to the south.

Continent 3

Name Ideas:

Colour on map: Purple

Climate and features: Mostly continental and maritime, generally calm in terms of weather and climate.

Continent 4

Name Ideas:

Colour on Map: Pink

Climate and Features: Often colder and wetter than would be suggested by latitude and altitude, these highly mountainous islands are associated with hardiness.

Continent 5

Name Ideas:

Colour on map: Red

Climate and Features: Highly diverse with 'some of everything', much of the land is old even in geological terms, yielding fossils and hard minerals readily, with many spices and herbs found growing above.

Continent 6

Name Ideas:

Colour on Map: Orange

Climate and features: These drier islands Often have long maritime histories, but still support a diverse range of climates and cultures.

Continent 7

Name Ideas:

Colour on Map: Green

Climate and Features: Dominated by a single great ocean, the tiny islands that punctuate this continent often have unique ecosystems that have evolved in isolation.
