Howdy yall, I'm sure many of you don't know me as I've been on hiatus for the past six months due to IRL issues so let me give yall a run down of my previous experience. 1. Former Minister of Foreign Affairs under Eggy216 2. Former FA ambassador to the CIL & DSAsssembly 3.Runner Up in First ( socialliberal.proboards.com/index.cgi?board=92911&action=display&thread=86) Speaker Election 4. Co-author of the Seventh Amendment to the Constitution I'm sure if yall ask any of the older nations like Azerzia, Milly, Eggy, etc they'll tell you that I was an active nation back when I was on full time, and now that I'm back I don't plan on taking another leave of absence any time soon. Any questions fire away

Great to have you back! Question: how would you make being a Recruiter more attractive, so more members would bcome a Recruiter? As you may have noticed, we are short of Recruiters now and have been for the past 4 months or so.

Nice to see you again, Gunir :) How do you plan to increase and maintain the membership of the SLU?

Kingdom of Grolsch: Thanks it's great to be back! Man a tough question right out of the gate. Well, I'm not entirely sure how to make it more appealing, but I will say this: The position of recruiter may be seen by some as less appealing than other ministerial positions, but this is not the case. Yes, Ambassadors deal with whole other regions which is an adventure and a way to make many good friends. Yes Positions in Domestic Affairs let you deal specifically with many nations already in the region. However, as a recruiter you are helping bring in the next generation of SLU members. No one plays NS forever, and eventually the old guard will be nothing more than a golden period in SLU History. It is up to the Recruiters to ensure the survival of the region and all that it stands for, so take pride in being a recruiter and those who aren't take a minute to think about it, you can help create the future of one of the biggest and greatest regions in NationStates. Avaerilon: It's nice to see you too, Avaerilon! I plan to continue the immigration policies that have gotten us from a small 40 nation region when I joined to a 320+ nation superpower that we are today. I feel the system itself is well laid out, it just needs people to make it work, which is why I'll push to get more recruiters in the Ministry and I'll try to make sure they feel as if they're really making a difference in the region, rather than mass tg sending bots

Hi. I'm new to the region. I've been here for about 2 weeks and I wanted to become involved in government. I've noticed that the Social Liberal Union was a great region with great people. Grolsh has been working very hard on Immigration. Our region was recently featured so he has been working extra-hard and I plan to do the same. Here are some things that I would do in my term:
•I would post the constitutional requirements every time there is a spike in population but if someone doesn't meet the requirements I WOULD NOT zero them out on the regional message board because its encroaching on personal space and it can be very embarrassing. Also, some nations dont even read the regional message
Just little things like this... ask questions! :D

i realize sending telegrams is not fun but how do you think we should get the word out to other nations that we're here? The telegram that Grolsch sent me was very efective. I wouldn't even know that we had a forum! There's no oter way to communicate effectively with knowing the person will recieve the message. Any other form of communication is not private and can be viewed by anyone. Privacy is my Policy. Say we get 13 Recruiters. 1 Person for every 25 people. It decreases the workload and it makes recruiters feel like their doing something. Being incharge of a certain group of people for immigration is very cool, I think. Recruiter 1 1-25 Recruiter 2 26-51 and so on. I know this is a bit confusing so if you have any questions please ask them. this also makes the regional message board less cluttered which is more organized.

Recruiters aren't in charge of inter-nation matters after entry into the region; Rather, that is a part of Mentorship in Domestic Affairs. Recruiters, during specified times, have the job of sending recruitment tgs to potential member nations within the feeder regions of NS. After which, if a nation joins a region and is approved should be directed to the Mentors for most questions. Second, based on the number of recruiters there are right now, expecting to have 13 is a little lofty, I would shoot for six as a conservative goal and eight at the other end (a 100% increase) and then work from there.

Thanks for your answer to both of you. Currently, we work with 2-hour slots, meaningwe can have 12 recruiters. Also, 2 new recruiters will start very soon, and one new recruiter has just completed their first session. So,slowly, we are recovering from the summmer slump.

Yes, it is. At the moment, we have 6 Recruiters, of which 4 are active. One more will get started very soon.

This way is much simpler. I agree, 13 is a lot. That was just a example though. Maybe 8-12. Shoot for the moon even if you miss you'll land among the stars.
