Thank you :) We've actually mentioned this before; the problem is, in the real world and in NS, different nations give different names to these things. Therefore, I feel it's best not to give them any official ones, although you can still talk about them in RP (if you leave an OOC note to explain where it is you're talking about).

Is it just me, or does The Federal Republic of Cemaes look like France?

Cemaes is actually based on the shape of south-west Wales. Take a look on Google Images and compare them; they're practically identitcal.

I would like to lay a claim on the North-west part, which would fit Kandorith as a China-influenced nation quite well...
The north mostly has tundras and mountain ranges.
The rest of the land has a variation of wide open grassy plains and large forests apart from around the major cities.
The nation's capital I would like to have about North-North-West-ish from Divinity Isles, somewhat above the two natural bays, as the capital of Xiāngzhōu has multiple smaller cities around the coast serving as the harbour, merged into the metropolis.
Furthermore there's two cities which are important around the coastline, you may place them strategically, which are Tangzímian and Hujíajíng.
Mǎzháng is the old "Eastern Kan" capital and resides inland, in the mid-East.
Eventually there's Qiaotoú, one of the religious capitals in the mid-slightly west part of the country.
There's one important major river going trough Kandorith, starting in the mountains running like the Nile into a delta near Xiāngzhōu.
Somewhat North-East from Xiāngzhōu there's a huge lake with a massive volcano next to it, surrounded by a scary and thick forest. A river going from this lake is connected to the greater river ending in the delta. finally there's some smaller rivers running about, with the Tangzímian river, going north ending in a huge damming project, creating a surge lake right in the north-west...
I think that should be about enough information?

Great! I don't do lakes, tundra or volcanic areas on the map, or city names, but everything esle is fine. I just need to know whether your forest is deciduous, coniferous, tropical or Mediterranean, or a mix. Please be specific!

In the north and north-east mostly coniferous, with some patches of deciduous forests. the rest overall is deciduous, but larger forests are rarely found around cities, the north has great forests surrounding the mountains. and more inland the great forests are a bit random, apart from the forest near the volcano of Xiāngzhōu, which would be awesome to be depicted as mountain though, as it is a sacred "mountain" a long with the forest.
I use the names to make a reference for myself too by the way, else I would get confused. he he.

Hi Avaerilon!
Sorry it's taken me so long! This semester has been crazy! And thanks for agreeing to put Regnbue on the map, literally! haha
Location: I'd like to make Regnbue an island nation. The big island in the northwest corner of the map would be awesome if it's still available! :-)
It seems like most of the region is Mediterranean, so I'd like a small mountain range somewhere on the eastern side of the island, but for all foliage to be Mediterranean. I'd also like plentiful rivers and tributaries that all flow toward the large bay on the western side of the island.
Can I name the bay Joyner Bay?
I'd like the national capital, Moyersburg to be located in in the small mountain range (Moyer Mountains); and the largest city, Joynersport, to be located at the mouth of the Joyner Bay. Then I'd like 4 other major cities: Foster City, Embryham, Mitchellville, and Greenburg. Can I get them all on rivers and scattered throughout the island?
Thanks a lot! Bill

Hi Regnbue! That island is no-longer available, sorry, although there are plenty of spots on the main continent to the east. You can name places in your nation whatever you like for RP purposes, but I have a policy of not including any other names than nations' names on the map. It would be far too cluttered otherwise.

Thanks. Is that big cluster of peninsulas at the far northern end of the coast still available?

Thanks :) Please check the new "Map Information" thread in the Tutorial section; this goes for everyone who wants their nation to appear on the map. Read it and make sure you know what you need to tell me- it means I can make your map quicker ;D @jandoria, I need more info- once you've read the thread, please post it here :)

It would be too messy, in my expert opinion as the map maker :P

Hello, my old nation was Beian, but I decided (And was slightly coerced) to make a new nation. Would it be possible to label Beian's space as Alterio's?
EDIT:And if possible add a large urbanized area in the north-west?

IMPORTANT! Proposed addition to map applications Hi there, everyone! I've had the idea for a while, and have decided that maybe it would be beneficial to include land 'lots' in our application process. These lots would not appear on the official regional map; rather, nations would select the numbered lot they want for their nation. This would not affect nations already on the mapTo demonstrate, I might draw a border around one of the beige areas of the map currently uninhabited. I might label this "number 12." A new nation might ask for said number, and fill-in a table detailing the topographical features. This, in my view, makes things a little easier for all concerned. However, since I am your minister and the map is a popular SLU achievement, I want to hear your views on the matter. I am putting this up to a general consultation, to take place in this thread for as long as it feels appropriate to discuss it. If you like the idea, please post and say why you like it. If you feel the opposite, please post and say why you don't. Thanks for taking the time to read this :) Don't post about this change in this thread, please! Click the link for the thread for the discussion. Threads found here pertaining to the discussion will either be moved or deleted.[/u]

Hey there Avaerilon. I was just wondering if I could have my little archipelago officially placed on the map, toward the north-east of the ocean available on the map? Would that be possible? If that is okay, then you will find two maps in my factbook, both with and without Human development. Thank you for your time!

Hi there :) Of course it is ;D Lovely map, by the way- I take it you don't have any mountains? I just need to know whether Kei-ryh is your capital or not, and what kind of vegetation those trees are.

Thank you Avaerilon, very kind of you to say, though much less impressive then the regional map!
Where permafrost is on the map, there is a mountain, the highest ring the central lake of Kahnyat. I was not sure how to represent mountains when I drew the map up, so I just let the permafrost show it. Kas-to is actually the capital, though not the first city.
The trees are predominantly pine, which would make the forest Coniferous I suppose.
Sorry about all the extra info, I can't stop my mind sometimes, and Kanoria gets more thought then it probably should. Thank you!

Like I've said before, if you become a regular and active role-player, then of course you can. As of this moment, you're not there yet.
