Operation Mountain Picnic

[Newhalla]

The Hallan defense forces are planning to do a large training exercise in the Kebin Mountains in Newhalla. The 208th and 209th Jägar divisions and the 3 N-SIC regiment are already setting up. Of course the Hallan high command wants to test its forces and invites all SLU nations to participate in the exercise. However the terrain is not suitable for larger forces. A fictional scenario will be drawn up when all the nations forces hopefully arrive.

The 2nd Battalion Saethwyr (elite snipers and marksmen) will be attending, and should arrive in Newhalla 1600 GMT tomorrow.

The 1st Stegolian Infantry Division will be joining the exercise. The rest of the military is remaining in Azerzia due to mobilization on Keshr and Losel

The Nargish Seventh Commando Squad (the pretty much best troops we have; the elite of the galaxy) will be attending. Just to let you know that we will blow you away. They are the best in the galaxy.

the situation is this the mountain country of Cecil has felt in a civil war. The Separatist group of New Cecil has made several bombings in the Cecil capital of Cecilia (A city whit 30.000 inhabitants).
The Government forces (Avaerlion,Equum and Azeria)
are up against the separatists forces (Newhalla,Goncar and Narg)

The 1st Forward Combined Assault Unit of the Grolsch Combined Armed Services Special Forces (GROCORSES) would like to join.

The unit consists of 40 Armed Mobile Teams with 30 soldiers and several armed personnel carriers each. 1 FCAU also has 24 light tanks, 19 armed transport helicopters, 4 heavy transport aircraft, 32 jeeps and other light vehicles, 10 heavy attack helicopters, 3 mobile command units and support units available.

10 four man commando squads in 5 light landers are landing just outside the mountain range at the training coordination camp. We respectfully suggest that veichles are not used in this exercise apart from landing aircraft.

Finished. We are kind of ambitious for ten foot chuck norris-on-earths who, out of the thousand attending, they bench at least fifteen hundred each. I mean, since there are no trucks, we are running with cannons across mountains!

Avaerilonian forces have divided into 4 even-sized groups, as demonstrated on the map. Captain Davies has led his men to the mountains north of the city, to cover the routes north and north-west. Lieutenant Colonel ap Jones has taken his troops to the western range, covering the western areas. Meanwhile, Lieutenant Colonel McKinnon and his soldiers have situated themselves in the southern peaks to cover the respective area. All three of these teams have also set-up small bases with defensive shelters to fall-back to, should the need to retreat to cover arise.

Because all the soldiers present specialise in marksmanship (sniping), they are well-suited to guarding the routes the insurgents must take.

Finally, Brigadier Lythwl-Stewart has taken his men into the city itself, where they have set-themselves in high-rise buildings.

using the Narglandians size to their advantage, of the ten squads 8 escaped the attack and moved through the mountains to the east to an encampment above the city whilst the two remaining squads were evac ed by two light landers and flown covertly two a point just above the Narglandian forces assaulting Avaerlion and successfully assassinated the commander of that force.

Azerzian troops attack the Narglandian forces in the mountains before taking defensive postures in the Eastern sector of the city, connecting with the Avaerilonian troops in the Western sector so that the southern two-thirds of the city is now occupied by Government troops

I think Equum is saying that Narglandian troops were advancing on one of my positions, and his troops "killed" the Nargish leader.

Avaerilonian troops under Lt. Col. McKinnon were able to spot advancing Nargish troops and tagged several of them, before retreating to the small base-camp and waiting for the Equum counter-assault. However, three of the 20 men were tagged by the enemy, and are now out of the game. Positions continue to be successfully held.

Mass Taggings started going on when cannon fire disabled Avaerilonian and Alatumite Dropships. No Nargish forces have been killed although we are now 1965/ 2000 in troop numbers.

Avaerilon does not use drop ships. We are also not utilising air-support in this scenario.
