So the idea came up from Franco-Lowlands today that we should have regional holidays. I like it. What ideas do you have for regional holidays? I'll make a list here in this post.
New Years' Day- January 1
Anniversary of the Region/Founding Day - January 2
Pi Day - March 14
Ainland Day - April 13
Constitution Day - April 27
May Day- May 1
A day to recognize our ties to the DSA - June 21
Cookie Day - July probably now that we have oktoberfest
Oktoberfest
Remembrance Day - October 5

All the ones from the RMB are good. But are we going to include holidays from the real world, or just ones that we made up?

This is a fab idea! I don't think we should want more than 10 or so days though so a handful more dates and we should be there!
Once decided, what should we do to celebrate on these days when they come around?

And yeah we should probably set up a regional events calendar sooner rather than later. In a few days we can put together something and decide later what we want to do to celebrate since we have a while before the dates arrive.

New Year is an obvious one which would double up with Founding Day to give us a double Bank Holiday at the start of the year!

Good stuff - I'd say that 'Cookie Day' should be in August as we need a Bank Holiday at the height of summer!
