Can all those who have received messages from me asking whether they can contribute 2 hours a day, respond here either way (and if they can, with their ideal 2-hour slot time) so I can start to fill out the new rota.
Cheers guys! :D

Cemaes, Milly has confirmed he'd like to contribute and has chosen 2 - 4 PM as his slot. Please delete his name from the 4 - 5 AM slot.

Since Grolsch was away today, and possibly tomorrow, I was wondering if anyone was covering these shifts, or if he was able to do so himself. If not, I'm sure I'dd be able to at least contribute on hour of his shift, if not two today.

I think that I could cover most, if not all of his shift. If you want to, we can split up the shift.

I'd be happy for that. I could do the first hour of the shift :D

I'll also cover the Kropotkinia slot if they're still inactive.

They were active 6 hours ago, but I don't know if they're still recruiting. I would send a tg asking them if they are still recruiting just to be safe.

I did their shift anyway. Something happened in the last 30 minutes, so I haven't even begun recruiting for the hour. Crap.

...Just so happens that in their shift, I found only 5 nations with the requirements.

Yeah. Things will probably pick up once September starts. I hope.

Let's hope; yesterday I managed something like 20+ nations in 2 hours. Today, I have only sent 22 so far in just under 4. This week has been a fluctuation of success.

Wow, a lot of activity here! I post a message when it is likely that I will not be able to cover my own recruitment shift.Kropotkinia hasn't been active for several weeks, so please feel free to do his shift.I'll delete him from the rota at the end of this week if he doesn't return and he is active on NS.
Also, because of personal circumstances, I will be able to cover my shift for the next several days or so, but won't be online as much as I'd normally be.

Something has suddenly popped up, requiring urgent reactions, so I won't be able to my recruitment for today, unless I can pick it up on a new slot.

Ok, no problem. Real life is always more important.

Opiachus has decided to extend and change his recruitment slot, which I have therefore included in the roster.

Because of real-life commitments, I will sadly have to renounce my recruitment slot, after having sent over 2,100 telegrams over the course of seven months.

I'm sorry, but I too will have to renounce my recruitment slot. Taking the train makes me much later than taking the bus and it eats into my time for homework.

Post by Kingdom of Grolsch on Sept 11, 2012 7:39:43 GMT
So why are you taking the train, then?
|
|

Post by North American Republics on Sept 11, 2012 21:10:58 GMT
Because the (private) bus company that has a monopoly on transit to my school now has continued raising rates.

Hmm, ok. Public transport prices are capped by the government here :O At € 0.83 initially and then € 0.20 per km € 0.20/km max. during daytime and € 0.30/km at night I believe. However less than 2% of all lines in the counry cost more than € 0.169/km ast the moment.

By train, I meant subway, and the fare is $2.50 now (I think), although I got a student MetroCard, so it's free. I wouldn't dare take the public bus to school because of the multiple transfers, traffic, and walking distance between transfers.

Public transport is free Mo - Fri for all students throughout the country here. That includes international trains up until the border with Belgium/Germany. On Saturdays and Sundays students get a 40% discount.
Anyway, this topic is about the Recruitment Rota, I believe ;D
