HAF in Divinity isle's on high alert

As the Imperial Kandorese military prepares for several training exercises in the eastern coast of the country, Hallan forces on Divinity isles have raised their reediness level to Def 3. The Hallan forces will monitor the Kandorese forces as they perform their military exercise.

Local politician and the general population on the isle have long seen Kandorith as an menace. And many right wing members of the Divinity Superioris party claims that the "Kandorese menace threatens the people of Divinity whit cultural and economical assimilation" a claim that the Kandorith government firmly rejected. And experts say that the people of Divinity's "kandophobia" have minimized the trade between the isle's and mainland Kandorith. 

But the economical importance of the isle's to the motherland, as much of Newhallas mineral,oil and gas deposits is extracted from the isle's have forced Hall city to appease the divinity's politicians demand for a larger military presence in the area.

More funding to NFN

After recent shortage of funds in NFN which took the network of air for several days, the Hallan reiksdag has decided to provide more funding to NFN and other state owned media outlets such as NFN Radio, NFN Inhemska (domestic) and NFN International.

Green party Headquarters on fire

07.55 Hallan time, the national Green party Headquarters in Tran was set ablaze by a group of street thugs. The fire raged 2 hours before firefighters and police arrived at at the site. Which the Green party spokesman Gull Bernhardsson said to NFN " This is completely unacceptable response time, the damn fire station is just 200 meter from here." An investigation has been launched by Framåt State Police (FLP).

Keane propose to establish a DMZ to Council of Leaders

This morning the State minister Keane proposed the creation of a demilitarised zone between the two nations of Glorious Democratic Republic of Kujang and Federal Republic of Dai-Kujang an SLU ally. It remains to be seen if such DMZ will be established.

NSD passed in Reiksdag

Today the National Security Doctrine passed in Reiksdag with a clear majority, a major victory for state minister Keane and her party. The act was however opposed from the greens in the Red-Green coalition which Keanes party is part of. Also resistance towards NSD act has been met within Keanes party, notably from deputy minister of foreign affairs Óðinn Daghammar and a large part of the ministry of foreign affairs. 

Óðinn in a comment to NFN said that "NSD act threatens Newhallas civil rights and political freedoms due its broad nature". His superior Minister of foreign affairs Tina Dal Västengren debunked Óðinns concerns and said to NFN that "NSD will not in any way threaten Hallan freedoms and will in fact protect them".   

The notorious Nationalist hardliner mp Alvis Kallt said to NFN "Finally has this new administration seen reason, Keane finally has a weapon to use against any traitor or criminals in Newhalla. And even if it is only one traitor in the government. There won't be any more. Newhalla is finally going in the right direction. Literally.

Name change for NWP

Nyhenfram (NY) is the new name for the Newhallan Workers Party.  The name change was announced at the party meeting in Nytkronah by the party leader and states minister Miranda Keane. While a majority of party members responded positively or indifferent to the name change, some far-left elements disliked the change in name.

Relaunch of English Newhallan news channel

Announcement of a relaunch of the new English Newhallan news channel Nyhalla Idaag (Newhalla Today or simply NI). The news channel receives half it's funding from the Newhallan state and the other half from the Free news foundation. Our mission is to provide unbiased information on relevant Newhallan and international stories from a Hallan perspective. We expect to be operating in just a few days.

182 cases of severe food poisoning in the Riksäpelle battle group

The ministry of defence revealed in a press release that the Newhallan navy battle group, currently heading towards the troubled nation of Bigtopia has been hit by numerous cases of severe food poisoning. Although no deaths has yet to be reported. The Newhallan supreme command and the defence ministry stated that the battle group will continue it's journey towards Bigtopia and will arrive in 2 and a half days. Hallan personnel that requires urgent medical attention will be airlifted to Bigtopia for medical attention.  

The commander of the Newhallan 5th fleet High Admiral Vidtor Bjöern wrote following on twitter

The Navy's Division of Naval Intelligence and N-SIC has begun a joint investigation into these recent food poisonings. It is highly convenient timing and i suspect that the former spymaster Märr to be involved somehow.

The Newhallan government gave no comment on any supposed sabotage by the former Grolschian spymaster Märr.

Miranda Keane steps down, AI unit Overlord HK-113 Spark appointed as acting Prime Minister by Parliament

Today the political world of Newhalla was shocked over the sudden resignation of Prime minister Miranda Keane of the far-left Nyhenfram party. The announcement comes after a visit of the honorable Great Fylkir. The religious leader of Astru faith, the state religion of Newhalla. Who made a visit to the parliament and to the Prime ministers office. Details are unknown of what transpired but after the Honorable Fylkir left. Keane quickly called for a press conference where she stated that she handed in her resignation to the parliament.

Keane explained her reasoning for the resignation with following statement. " I have, early this morning handed in my resignation to the speaker of parliament. informing the speaker of my medical condition which prevents me from serving as this great nations head of government. I concluded this decision by myself, as i believe that i am no longer medically fit for the office."

Speaker Tor Druchvid, who also participated in the press conference, said that the parliament have understood Keanes position and will approve of Keanes resignation. Speaker Druchvid further stated that the AI unit Overlord HK-113 Spark will take over as acting head of government until the upcoming election in December.

Overlord HK-113 Spark appeared later in the press conference after Keanes departure. Many foreign journalist where startled by the entrance of the droid retinue into the room. But Spark assured them that Artificial Intelligence is alive and well in Newhalla. Spark further stated that it looks forward in furthering the successful policies of its predecessor. But said that it will bring forth many alternative policies to the parliament as well.
