Edwards nods "Well any Catholic Democrat representatives who refused to swear allegiance to New Ireland and Wales were arrested. So if you need to talk with any of them you can as well as with FitzGerald." A few minutes later the motorcade pulls up to the airport stopping near the First Lady's plane.

"I'll let Detective Reyes know, then," she says.
Once they pull up to the First Lady's plane, she shakes President Edwards' hand before getting out of the limousine, "Good luck with your campaigning, Mr. President, I'll be silently supporting you. Until next time." She kisses Michael's cheek and tells him, "Call me if you ever need to talk," then shakes Versace and Sinclair's hands goodbye. As the limousine departs, Mrs. Asher gets into her plane and lifts off headed toward Austerain.

Edwards cups her hand "Thank you" he says "and good luck in the future." Michael smiles and nods as she gets out the car. Suddenly, Edwards phone rings again "Ah. Campaign call." he says before answering after a few moments Edwards' face drops "You're kidding right? Why does Sinn Fein have to do this? Go from an absolute idiot to one of the smartest intellectuals in this country as their leader?" Edwards sighs "We will deal with this later." Edwards hangs up the phone and puts his head into his hands.

Versace, who was no longer looking at the news updates on her phone by now, looks at Edwards concerned, "Is everything okay? What happened?"

Edwards looked at Versace "Yeah I just got some real opposition. Gov. Edward Collins has been elected leader of Sinn Fein. Unlike Major he's actually smart." Edwards sighs and leans back in the seat

"Governor Collins?" Versace exclaims. She thinks to herself "actually better looking too" but doesn't say it aloud.
Secretary Sinclair says, "I'm sure you'll hold your weight against him, Mr. President. You have more experience, especially with the military and this country's history."

"Yeah, Governor of Wales Valley. 39 years old, if he is elected he would be the youngest leader in our nation's history and the first one from Wales." Edwards says
"I might be able to hold myself. But he's young, energetic, better looking than me, more progressive, and maybe even smarter. I'm not saying he will win but he certainly poses some real competition."

Versace says, "He's certainly interesting, alright. I think you still have a good chance, though. As Dmitri said, you have your experience going for you. A good idea to keep on your toes, though."
Versace's and Sinclair's phones ping. Sinclair looks up and says, "Looks like the party leader of the Conservative Royalists was connected to Mr. McLean. His bank records showed that he had wired McLean a payoff to his account. Another Conservative Royalist congressman used the Congressional Research Service to get bomb instructions that is portable through a briefcase, which was placed and found near the Chancellor's office. That explains that, I guess. And no Conservative Royalist members are condemning the actions, but actually praising them in the streets for it. It looks like you'll have to declare them a terrorist group, Madam Chancellor."
Versace says, "With the approval of Congress, yes. And it appears that the investigators were able to get information out of McLean- apparently the right wing pro-Irish-Welsh groups around Austerain and NIW are planning new attacks and are targeting politicians. I have the ABI raiding all the known compounds and homes of known groups and individuals affiliated with it in Austerain."

"I have as good as chance as any. He's young so I can spin him as inexperienced versus me who knows a bit more about how things work." Edwards says
Edwards looks at Sinclair "Well then it must serve as a surprise that FitzGerald had no direct involvement in this from what we know at the moment. Sadly his horrifying comments aren't enough evidence. We are monitoring anyone we expect might be suspect of carrying out or knowing about attacks. Especially the Catholic Democrats around the country. I hate the image that paints but I hardly see the Catholic Democrats as a political party." The motorcade pulls up to the house and Edwards gets out with Michael to head inside.

Sinclair says, "Some of the public might be angered if we classify the Catholic Democrats and Conservative Royalists as hate or terrorist organizations, claiming that it's just a way to eliminate opposition or free speech. Minor outrage though."
When the motorcade stops, Versace and Sinclair step out of the limousine and follow Ted and Michael.

"I think most of the public understands." Edwards says
"Now we had to cancel some events tomorrow due to time constraints so we won't be going to the service or parade tomorrow. Just the Town Hall and State Dinner. Is that alright?" Edwards asks

Versace says, "That's fine, yes." Her phone pings again and she reads the text. She sighs and two fingers on the bridge of her nose near the corners of her eyes.
"Our chief diplomat to the Paguio Empire died from his injuries today. I'll have to call his wife tonight once we're settled in."

Edwards sits down and an assistant walks up to him "Mr. President, good evening. What may I get for you?" Edwards thinks for a moment "I'll take a ham and cheese sandwich with a side salad and a glass of whiskey to drink please." The assistant nods then looks at the Chancellor and Secretary "And for you two?"

"I see. How unfortunate to have you leave office so soon," Versace says, "Despite our disagreements, you've served faithfully to your people as President. I have no doubt that you'll continue to do so as Taoiseach, if you win."
In another attempt to break the lingering coldness, she places her hand on his shoulder with slight affection for a couple second and smiles.
Secretary Sinclair nods, "You've served brilliantly, sir. How do you think you would get on with Baron as Taoiseach?"

Thank you Madam Chancellor. I have faith that I can win. But if I don't it's been an honor working with you both." Edwards smiles then looks at Sinclair "Ah, Mr. Secretary. I think I can get on alright. I'll be backing someone else though."

"I'll think you'll do just fine, Mr. President," Sinclair says.
"A pleasure working with you as well," Versace says, "But I think you should be fine. I might not have too long in office, though. Will be replacing Vandercraft and calling for new elections as soon as the new constitutional amendment is passed upon my return."

"It appears that the collapse of the moderate left is already underway," Versace says as she plops a blueberry in her mouth, "Until the split of my party, I thought I was as liberal as they come. But it appears the the left libertarian populist anti-intervention faction of my party is making gains in the polls."

"I fully understand. It seems the centrists who supported me are going to Fianna Fail and the liberals are going to Sinn Fein. Sinn Fein has gone from 7% to 26% in two weeks. I didn't even know that was possible to be honest. More polling is supposed to be released tomorrow so can't wait to see what the polls are at now." Edwards says as he finishes up

Sinclair chuckles as he finishes his grilled cheese and starts on his tater tots, "Sarah, you know the only person more liberal than yourself in the Cabinet is Secretary Price. He was slightly more liberal than Chancellor Asher himself but far more liberal than you. High favorability polls for VC after the 2015 election too."
Versace says, "Well, Andrew is too old to run in the upcoming election. I expect Secretary O'Brennan or Warner to run against PCP and PDP's new Party Leaders. Are you still confident yourself, Ted?"

Edwards smiles "I have a few people in my cabinet more liberal than I am and only one supports Fine Gael. I have confidence we can win but Sinn Fein and the Independent Alliance have formed an electoral pact putting them at 34% to my 41% so a coalition government most likely be formed in any case whether it be their victory or mine."
