During the last Council of Leaders (as of 18th March, 2012; "Bring Out Your Dead!"), it became apparent to me that some nations enjoy using their militaries to solve problems, and relish going-into great depth to describe military operations and movements.
While you are welcome to use your militaries in CoL, some uses were not entirely appropriate. The CoL is designed to get nations to use their intelligence-by utilising diplomatic, economic and (most importantly) political skill to try and solve a problem. It is also far more realistic to use these methods, although we respect the use of militaries for defence purposes.
Furthermore, going into eye-watering detail makes the CoL less fun for everyone else; not all nations Role-Playing want to take part in a "war-games" type situation.
I, as Minister of Domestic Affairs and Secretary of Activities, would like to remind nations to exercise restraint, judgement and care when responding to and dealing with CoL Situation Reports. They are NOT designed for you to play with like a war game.
Please refrain from doing so in the future; there are plenty of war-game Role-Plays on the net for you to indulge in.
