In light of recent events in the SLU, a motion has been suggested with an overwhelming support base of 71% to create an Embassy District within Quechkhonia. The motion was put to vote today and was passed with 79% for, 12% against and 9% not voting. Therefore, this thread has been set up as a method of applying for an embassy within Quechkhonia and setting up of Harndonian embassies in applicant nations. Engineers are currently building the embassy district. A plan will soon be available for applicant nations to choose a location to set up shop. Harndon will like to apologise for its previous indifference towards embassies, and hopes to repair that, with an aim to create closer ties with members of the SLU.

The land has been selected. It is a fairly green, leafy, part of town, with good views over the Sacred Grove to the South. There is a Metro station to the North, and paths that run throughout the area. Canals run through the map, where electric longboats can be requested for constant use by an embassy, or longboat ferries can be used by the diplomatic personnel. There will be a ferry stop just North of the embassy area.

In a particularly surprising turn of events, the engineering teams have finished surveying the area and have bordered off plots, created new paths and planted new flowers before we expected them to. The idea that a government-run project would finish prior to the deadline was enough to make the Spokesperson almost choke on his breakfast. Perhaps we're just getting better at this. Or engineers and builders supervised by engineers actually know what they're doing. Indeed a scary thought. Anyway, without further ado, the plots are now available to see, and, more importantly: Applications for embassies are now open!
If you are willing for the People's Republic of Harndon to have an embassy in your nation, please do say so in your application, and any invitation will be gratefully and humbly accepted. The grey strips are paths; the light green areas are grass, wild flowers and ferns; the dark green areas are forested; and the blue areas are significant bodies of water/canals/streams Apply below in the board, stating which plot you wish your nation to have.
Construction will start immediately, and will take about a week to complete, after application and confirmation.
We apologise in advance for having so many embassies in such a small space, but the team of engineers thought it might encourage more dialogue between nations. It also means that any citizen of any SLU nation who is in Quechkhonia will be easily able to find their embassy, if at all applicable. Thankyou for your time. The Odd Republic will request the third plot. Construction of an annex to the Oddish Roundhouse (the capitol) in which new embassies are to be housed will also begin soon, and your nation will be prioritized in terms of placement in the building, along with the others which assisted in the liberation of this nation from tyranny.

The Federal Republic of Austerain requests plot number 6 as the site of the Austeren Embassy to Harndon. The State Department invites the People's Republic of Harndon to establish an embassy in the Jameson Embassy District in the Capital City of Austraton and grants an official ambassador's residence in the East Piersdon District just northeast of Jameson, which boasts seaside views and a private access beach.
